Kick off the summer season with free admission at our annual Memorial Day Open House! Enjoy activities all day long inspired by our exhibition “Frida Kahlo and Arte Popular,” on view through June 19.


• Watch a one-of-a-kind musical performance with Zaira Meneses and her band Son Jarocho, celebrating the beauty of Mexican culture and Frida Kahlo’s artistry


• Catch an interactive, bilingual performance for all ages highlighting the stories behind Frida Kahlo’s most famous paintings


• Take a 30-minute walk with a Museum educator to see some kid-friendly highlights in the collection


• Join local hula hoop artist Sarah Daly, a.k.a. Foxy Hooper, to learn the art of hula hooping and making hoops! Decorate your own handcrafted hula hoop to take home
