You don’t need to be in the backcountry to reminisce about summer camp. Join us at Aeronaut Brewing Company for a fun-filled day fueled by nostalgia and the spirit of summer. Learn a new skill courtesy of Boston’s REI Co-op, watch one of REI Co-op’s films, or assemble a crew to compete in a camp-style field day led by AERONAUT, all while sipping a crisp local brew.


Check out the programming below:
- REI Co-op Film Screening - A selection of REI films will be running from 2-6pm in the Foods Hub space (with sound), and in the main Taproom (without sound)
- Friendship Bracelet Station - revisit an old classic
- Drink and Draw station with Drawn to Ecology
- 2pm-3:30pm - Listen to some folky tunes courtesy of Seamus Galligan in the Taproom
- 2pm - Thru-Hiking Basics with REI Co-op in the Foods Hub (details follow below)
- 3pm - Field Day Comp with AERONAUT

Thru-Hiking Basics with REI Co-op
Many of us who are backpackers (or readers or moviegoers) inevitably wonder what it would be like to thru-hike one of America’s legendary trails: the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) or the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). Is it an impossible dream? If you can put one foot in front of the other, day after day, the dream is utterly attainable. If you’re contemplating the adventure, this workshop, led by a bonafide A.T. thru hiker, offers an overview of key thru-hiking topics.


The Ten Essentials with REI Co-op
Be prepared on what to pack for the backcountry, whether going on day hikes or longer overnight trips.


AERONAUT Field Day Comp (2 sessions)
Assemble a team of 2-4 friends for your camp team! Dress to impress - there will be a team prize for best team costume, as well as a prize for the winner of each comp. Put your heads together to move through serious (and silly!) competitive games for the glory of being crowned camp champion. Put your skills to the test (or just have fun) with games such as “fishing,” animal track-ID, cornhole and more!

Drink and Draw with Drawn to Ecology in the Taproom

Meander through the day's activities accompanied by crooning memorable, wistful, 70s-esque folk tunes.
