After a month off, we are excited for the return of Persistence Of Vision and have put together our best night yet. Volume 3 will feature a program of films by BEN RUSSELL, including his triptych The Garden Of Earthly Delights, and a set from Boston great VIC RAWLINGS. Music at 8pm followed by films at 9:15. $5-10 suggested.

VIC RAWLINGS
Vic Rawlings is a musician, instrument builder, sound installation artist, filmmaker, and freelance teacher based in western Massachusetts. He uses an amplified/prepared cello and a self-built electronic instrument for electroacoustic improvisation. Collaborators have included Greg Kelley, Bhob Rainey, Liz Tonne, Seijiro Murayama, Sean Meehan, and Jason Lescalleet. Visiting artist/teaching residencies have included Oberlin Conservatory, MIT, Harvard, UC Berkeley, UC Davis, Princeton, Dartmouth, Wesleyan, among many others. He has performed throughout the US and in Europe, and recently performed the premiere of an Alvin Lucier composition.
Vic's current film, Linefork, is a collaboration with Jeff Silva and Ernst Karel (Sensory Ethnography Lab) and features the legendary Kentucky banjo player Lee Sexton. This immersive feature-length film recently premiered at Visions du Réel and BAFICI.
