Come one! Come all! CREATIVE ARTS AT PARK (CAAP) presents a FREE Arts Festival for the whole family on Friday, July 29th at the Park School in Brookline. The daylong Festival features creative work in the visual and performing arts of more than 200 young people. The young artists come from scores of Greater Boston communities. The Festival is the culmination of CAAP’s five-week multi-arts program.

The Festival opens at 9:00 AM and features performances by students ages 7-15 in dance, music, drama, photography, gymnastics, film and video, writing, karate, and fencing as well as many exhibits of their work in a variety of visual arts.

The Festival features three classic shows, two of them musicals. The perennial favorite "Little Shop of Horrors" opens the Festival on Thursday evening. Nerdy florist Seymour encounters a strange and interesting plant, which brings him fame, fortune and romance. However, it’s not long before he’s bitten off more than he can chew, as the plant unveils its insatiable thirst for.......blood! Can he beat the odds, rescue the love of his life and save the world? [Parental discretion advised for youngest ones.]
Packed with humor and heart the show will be presented on Thursday and Friday evenings, July 28h and 29th at 7:30. The ever-popular family musical “Aladdin” will play at 9:30am on Friday, July 29th. At midday on the 29th, Moliere's "Tartuffe" will be presented. This classic French comedy tells the story of the wealthy Orgon who is tricked into giving away his fortune to Tartuffe, a con man posing as a pious religious believer. Orgon's family and friends try to make him see his error in a series of hilarious episodes.

Celebrating its 35th summer, CREATIVE ARTS AT PARK is a multi-arts program for young people. More than 50 professional artists teach students in over 100 courses in the visual and performing arts.

So bring the whole family and join the fun!!!!!! It’s an Arts Festival for everyone - AND IT’S FREE!!
