« on: April 01, 2013, 12:00:36 PM »

Tris is back and this time he's going to make it. His previous adventures in Starlight Shores were less than successful and thanks to his abduction rescue by his favourite creature - a Unicorn, he managed to escape to have another attempt at Immortality. However, the magic of the Unicorns came at a price this time, they want to make sure he can stick to the plan and get his job done. To do so they have cursed blessed him with a rather permanent reminder...

Chapter List:
Prologue - "Distractions"
1 - "Getting Started"
2 - "Balloon and a Baby"
3 - "Nooboo Delivery"
   - "House Tour"

Since Tristan's disappearance from Starlight Shores nobody quite knew where he was, it took me a long time to find him, as you would expect he made trouble. When I say trouble I mean the sort that he is enjoying it but nobody else is, especially his escort that transported him away from Starlight Shores. They had left Rue Jade standing on the beach alone...

To arrive in a world so different to the depressing stardom of Starlight Shores. This time a location worthy of it's name: Sunlit Tides. The last time Tristan travelled via Unicorn he escaped virtually unharmed, however not this time. Unicorns can have fun sometimes, they are sometimes known to be mischievous.

This was to be no ordinary trick, this was verging on a curse for the partially normal lunatic. He now had an appearance to match his personality. A bright, neon blue appearance. Almost as if it is some kind of compensation: it goes with his eyes.

Obviously startled by his new appearance it was time for Tris to exact some revenge. Although what could he do to something as powerful as a Unicorn? On an Island.. He could bash it with a coconut but other than that, the Unicorn was more equipped and Tris did not fancy any altercations with a creature like that. It had tried to set fire to him after all.

Yet no matter how fast a Unicorn can run, it seems taxis have more horsepower on the sandy roads. Tris simply ran away.. On an Island.

With Tristan refusing to cooperate the Unicorn had no choice but to let him have a break, this wasn't their final destination and it wouldn't harm to let Tris have a few days on the tropical island..

Naturally these things don't work out. As Tris became captivated by a young Witch, it was a trip to remember..

The Unicorn became desparate, he called in a favour to have this distraction removed. Yet still she escaped and came back. It looked like Tris was never going to get back to his job, unless more serious measures came.

In the middle of the night the Unicorn took Tris by force. Neighbours were told it was just a fire, after all the Witch was known for her fiery antics. Nobody seemed to remember a blue skinned, orange haired guy in Genie clothing...

I was able to find Tris once he arrived at his destination. He kept me waiting for a long time, he is easily distracted though so I guess it's to be expected. His new home is nothing like the tropical dream he had experienced, it's hotter though. A lot hotter.

Lucky Palms, a desert oasis apparently. This is to be the Jade's home for who knows how long. Hopefully it's a town that behaves well... That goes for Tristan as well.

Tristan arrived on the plot of land, his only friend being a remarkably red cat. Once suitably named Strawberry, she would be consigned to fishing for most of her life with the family. Hopefully until she gets at least 10 Deathfish.

After putting in an order for a Standard Dyasty Starting kit from RicaIndustries Ltd. , a selection of Elixrs arrived: 1 Midas Touch, 1 Wish Enhancer, 2 Potent Friendship Elixirs and 1 Potent Invigorating Elixir. These would guarantee Tristan's hold in Lucky Palms, with money and a completed Lifetime Wish to purchase a Motive Mobile. The Friendship Elixirs are simply because I hate the socialising aspect of the game and it's so much easier to just chuck a bottle at someone..

Yet, it wouldn't be Tristan without his usual expressions and the blue just enhances them!

With the money raised, a temporary house was constructed, themed in a colour similar to that of Jade and Tris.

Tris is once again to Supermax Painting for his Immortality however he is also a Witch - a little trick he picked up from his vacation.

The strategy is to have Tristan join the Police Force to have a career that will keep him busy, he will go down the Forensic route due to it's Painting requirement. However he will hopefully not max Logic, saving it for future generations should they need it. Currently in game he is 2 Hours from maxing it as I forgot to check which level he was at on the multitab. However with no other logic activities on the lot or a multitab or laptop in his inventory he shouldn't max it. For the first week he took the time off work to work on Painting and was able to max it the day before he was due to start work.

Once this was completed and he started working it was time to find a spouse. Since the skin colour can run out, as could the elf ear shapes, there is only one genetic in the family I can actively attempt to keep within the family: the eyes. Of course his eyes will eventually run out but I can always introduce new colours. So with that in mind I was off to the various bars and clubs every night to check out the NPC residents..

Why NPCs? Well, because of this guy... With NPCs come the influx of the saved eye colours, hence the red. Obviously he's out of the picture for a spouse however he was the first and after him came many.

It was a Bouncer that took Tristan's heart though, instantly attracted and cool eyes - what more could you want?

And so Rosalyn Munson joined the household. At 13 Days from Elderhood there was an element of a rush to get the next generation in, as well as to get Tristan's portraits done. By this time he was around 8 days from an Adult and he still needed a portrait. However an unexpected joy came from Rosa having maxed Photography skill already, all I needed was a camera..

   Rosalyn Munson
Traits: Good Sense of Humour, great Kisser, Daredevil, Light Sleeper and Artistic
Favourites: Rockabilly, Key Lime Pie, Pink
Sign: Libra
LTW: The Culinary Librarian
Skills: Photography (10)

That trick for ensuring cool eye colors is absolute genius.

And it's nice to see Tris back as his crazy self, blue or otherwise.

Thanks, it's almost compulsory for my Sims to have cool coloured eyes lately, that and Elf Ears. :P The downside is that the families features will be more EA standard quicker but at least they'll have awesome eye colours, Lol. I've actually played ahead to the point where Tris is about to be Immortal, although that would have happened about a week ago if I didn't get crashing. :P Although it's not file specific crashing - just my usual thing of not saving after a week of game-play or not saving before opening the player wall..

I currently have nearly 20 eye colours saved that are bold colours or bright, Rosa's is one of them. As is the red, the trick is to have enough custom colours to outnumber the defaults that way they're more likely to go for the custom ones. The only thing is that you have to get through the pre-mades first before SP makes some new sims.

There was another Girl that Tris was going to, he got there just as the club shut but the next day she was gone. Her eyes were the same as his. The other problem is the wrong gendered sims etc. For about a week all the NPCs were male.  ::)

Good luck for completing this time! Tris deserves to make it, especially seeing as the unicorns seem to have singled him out this time. I love his new look.

Aw, it's nice to see you back in the Immortal Dynasty challenge! I remember reading and enjoying the Jade dynasty before, and look forward to seeing what antics you guys get up to this time. Plus, I love me some rainbow sims! Good call about saving eye colors. I have yellow saved now, so sometimes I see that pop up. Hm, maybe I should save a bunch of colors like you did. I loved your Team Airica and Team Reka banners, btw!

Thank you Gogo! So far it's all going well!  :)

Good luck for completing this time! Tris deserves to make it, especially seeing as the unicorns seem to have singled him out this time. I love his new look.

Thank you! I was considering having a Unicorn move with him, the idea of the Sunlit Tides adventure had originally been a Dynasty there but things weren't going to plan there. The Witch was in fact going to be his spouse, although the images used came from two attempts there: a blue Tris and an orange Tris. :P The one with the house and the witch was Orange Tris.

Ohhh...I'm so excited to see the Jades in action again. I wish you all the luck !  Tris has a great new look , I like it . Looking forward to next update !   :)

Thank you! Glad I can share their story with everyone again!

Thank you! Yep, the rainbow just makes him and any offspring so much more interesting, hopefully I can get a bloodline like your's but that's unlikely. :P For me everything unique normally dies out with the founder.. You can save them anytime and in any game (Well not a Dynasty one but they should transfer and do the same job. ;) ) Thanks - they were too much fun!

On arrival at the Jade house Rosalyn promptly received a makeover, of which there is not a picture. However her first state of business whilst Tristan was painting was to venture to the newly purchased Sandy Place where the local registers had set-up shop, hopefully to find all of the elixirs and the camera I needed.

A second floor was also added to the house in order to have room for two super sleepers and an extra easel or two downstairs. Whilst interesting this house was no very practical due to the frieze between floors lengthening time taken to travel from downstairs to upstairs.

As luck would have it after several buy-outs of the Consignment Store a camera finally came up, providing Tristan with a photograph for the museum. The next goal for Rosalyn was to reach painting Level 7, which she would do alongside Tris who by now was around Level 5 or 6.

Once Rosalyn had developed her painting skills sufficiently to be able to afford some luxury time. I became aware of the decreasing amount of time available for an heir to be produced. It was time for Tristan to make his move, a balloon purchase later and things were moving along quickly.

She of course said yes, I mean a balloon ride with a blue lunatic is just so romantic. For some people. Then it was time to get the heir, now that their relationship was high enough. To say they hated the task would be a lie, in fact they did wish daily for the task and still do..

Soon enough the heir was on the way, the gender was to remain a mystery as well as uninfluenced by fruits. Thankfully this was an Immortal Dynasty not a Life States in that neither threw wishes for a gender or to even have a child.. Sadly for them there was no option.

Whilst pregnant Rosalyn managed to paint Tris' portrait, typical him really in it's composition yet it makes his Museum unique to all the others! It was not worth a lot but it was her first to be over 1,000 simoleons I believe.

Once painting was maxed by Rosalyn it was her job to also provide the life fruit and the knowledge to cook with it. Due to the multitab she was able to double up her skill learning by learning cooking whilst painting. It was whilst reading a pregnancy book that she maxed Cooking.

Shortly after that she went into labour, provoking the usual screaming fits of uselessness from Tristan.

Except he then had to go to work, leaving his fiance to give birth alone. Had I been watching his work schedule I would have realised he was due to go back to work on that day but he was unable to take more unpaid time off. Missing the birth of his first born baby ... We'll have to wait and see...

I love the look of terror/condemnation in Rosalyn's eyes.
