Friend --
I love Obamacare -- and I'm not shy about saying so.
That's because I've seen how it's working -- how millions of Americans are getting better, more affordable care.
That's why I get so fired up when I hear the lies being spread by the other side -- or when state governments actually vote to keep this law from helping people in their state.
Millions of people like you fought hard to pass health care reform, and now, OFA is building a team to defend it -- to spread the facts, fight the lies, and tell the true story of how health care reform is working.
Say you're on Team Obamacare -- and we'll send you a free bumper sticker so you can put your pride on display.
The truth is there's a lot of confusion out there about what Obamacare actually does.
More than 40 percent of Americans don't know if the Affordable Care Act is even the law.
We have our work cut out for us -- the good news is there are so many great stories to tell.
I like to talk about how the term "pre-existing condition" is going to be a thing of the past, no longer a barrier to getting health coverage.
How it's closing the doughnut hole in prescription drug coverage -- or how millions of women have already received preventative care, like mammograms and cancer screenings, with no out-of-pocket costs.
I like to talk about the nearly 13 million Americans who benefited from $1.1 billion in rebates from insurance companies last year. And as a dad, I love that my kids can stay on my insurance until they turn 26.
Obamacare is literally saving lives and saving families' budgets.
It's our job to tell those stories this summer -- and make sure Americans have the facts as people start to sign up for state-level exchanges in the fall.
And we each need to do our part and share the facts with our families, friends, and communities -- because let's face it, it means a lot more to them when it comes from you than from me.
