LAWTON – The Aggies took the treat on Halloween after getting a much needed Lone Star Conference win in four sets against Midwestern State on Friday night in the Aggie Gym. With the win, CU moves to 12-13 overall, and 4-11 in LSC play while MSU falls to 8-19 overall, and 3-12 in league action.
Cameron's win boosted them to the seven-seed in the LSC Tournament next month and they hold a half game lead over Texas A&M-Commerce and a game lead over Midwestern.  With their twelfth win, CU has their best record since the 2011 season, which is also their last postseason appearance.
A three set sweep looked to be in the cards for CU with a 14-7 lead but a MSU eight point run gave the Mustangs some life and later took a 21-16 lead.  Three straight CU points got the Ags within a pair but the Mustangs would take the set 25-21.Â
In the fourth set, both teams remained neck and neck but a
Kayla Hebert kill and an ace from
Kat Evans swung the momentum to CU.  The Aggies wouldn't hold on to more than a two point lead the rest of the way but they closed out the match with a 25-22 win.
Evans paced CU with 13 kills and earned a double-double with 11 digs,
Rebecca Green had another perfect match with 11 kills and no errors, while maintaining a .314 hitting percentage, and
Kendra Adams matched Green with 11 kills. Â Hebert earned her sixteenth double-double of the year with a team high 23 assists and 11 digs.
As a team Cameron hit .242 with 59 kills, and 75 digs; MSU had 51 kills, 67 digs, and a .221 hitting percentage.Â
Sarah Garfield led MSU with 18 kills, while Hunter Porter added 11.
The Aggies will quickly turnaround and face Northwestern Oklahoma on Saturday for at 4 p.m. for a non-conference matchup.
