Volvo Unveils Gorgeous Concept Car

Volvo has revealed a beautiful concept car that it says is the “next-generation P1800.” The Volvo P1800 coupe was one of Volvo’s more famed vehicles, with production from 1961-1973. The new concept has some striking similarities to the old P1800 while maintaining a futuristic look.

Thomas Ingenlath is Volvo’s new design chief and has been tasked with creating a new design direction for the Swedish brand whose aging lineup needs a refresh. The Concept Coupe is the first of three models that will showcase how future Volvos will look.

Among the notable features on the concept coupe is a new floating grille and a new headlight design with T-shape LED daytime running lights

Power is derived from a brand new 2.0 litre four cylinder motor matted with a plug-in rechargeable electric system all of which makes 400 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque.
