I'm sick of opening my morning paper just to read about another Senate scandal.
I'm sure you've seen today's revelations about Conservative Senator Pamela Wallin filing over $100,000 in inappropriate expense claims.
For months, we've seen story after story about the outrageous abuse of privileges by Conservative and Liberal insiders in the Senate.
From Mike Duffy and the $90,000 payoff from Stephen Harper's former chief of staff to Patrick Brazeau and Liberal Senator Mac Harb being investigated for fraudulent living expenses.
The unelected, unaccountable Senate is not an institution Canadians can be proud of.
That's why Tom Mulcair will be taking our campaign to abolish the Senate to Canadians across the country later on this month.
I know you're already in our corner – but can you help us bring this important message to other Canadians, too?
Donate $20 or more to send Tom on tour with our plan to roll up the red carpet once and for all.
Canadians are turning to us because we're the only Party putting Canadians first – while Conservatives and Liberals make excuses for their unelected and unaccountable Senators day after day.
It's unbelievable. Stephen Harper actually stood up in the House of Commons and defended Pamela Wallin's inappropriate spending.
That's on top of breaking his promise to never make an appointment to the Senate, not once or twice – but 58 times.
And we know that Stephen Harper's Conservatives aren't the only ones defending the entitlements of their friends – Liberals are just as guilty.
We've always been crystal clear on where New Democrats stand: it's time to abolish the unelected, unaccountable Senate. Period. Full stop.
And that's the message we'll proudly take across the country.
Can you help make sure we reach our fellow Canadians?
