Much-loved Middlesbrough venue The Crown has called its very last orders.

And Teessiders in their hundreds have mourned the loss of the famed drinking spot, which suddenly announced its closure on Friday.

The Crown, run by Stonegate Pub Company, has been a meeting place for generations of pubgoers - it's also a listed building which has been a bingo hall and cinema in its illustrious past.

From revellers who met their partners on a night out there to those who watched cinema classics at the venue at their original release - such as Grease and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial... we have brought together some of your best comments from our Facebook page.

You can add your memories here.
