RD 6: Hurricanes 34 - Reds 15 SUNCORP STADIUM | SAT APRIL 1, 2017 | KICK-OFF: 6:45PM AEST

The St.George Queensland Reds have gone down 34-15 to the Hurricanes in Round 6 of Vodafone Super Rugby at Suncorp Stadium.

In front of 17,439 spectators, the defending champions crossed for two early tries but the Reds show composure to claw their way back into the contest and trail by just two points at half-time.

It was a gruelling second-half for the home side who were forced to defend their own line for sustained periods of time.

“In that second half, there was a period where we played some really exciting football but probably threw a few too many offloads and turned the ball over which killed us.

"The team we're trying to build here and the culture we're building is definitely not happy with a courageous loss. We're here to win football games." - Head coach, Nick Stiles
