ARC requested through Netgalley, and kindly provided by Kobo Writing Life in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this friends to lovers story, driven by suspense. Katie and Jason had been friends since early childhood. After an awkward advance towards Jason, her secret crush, and a whole lotta family drama, Katie fled oversees to see the world and find herself. What she found, though, was lots of danger and no real certainty where the danger was stemming from. Cue our sexy hero to swoop in to protect her.

This story kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next and how Katie and Jason would finally get it together enough to “get together”. One trope that this book has that I’m not a big fan of is the “I’ll tell you everything, but let’s wait until X has happened and then I’ll tell you.” Maybe I have no patience, but IRL, that would NOT stand with me. I would not be able to let it go. But Katie seemed to be okay with it, so I just went along for the ride.

There were some misunderstanding in this story, not surprisingly that added into the chaos and confusion of the story. I don’t want to give away any spoilers so I won’t say too much about the suspense portion of the story, but the romance was quite sweet.

As a side note, Katie’s brother, Ric, and his side story had me so intrigued. Even though this is the first book in this series, I thought there has to be more there with Ric and his history so I looked and sure enough, his story is told in a different series. So, in addition to carrying on with this series, I now really want to delve into other books by this author!

Finally, I really liked the sneak peek at the next story in this series and I can’t wait to read it.

★★★★★Secret Seduction by Jill Sanders (The Secret Series Book 1)

I was given this Beta in exchange for my honest review.

It is set to be released Aug. 9.

So I really liked Ms. Jill's other series the Pride Series.
Finding Pride (The Pride #1) by Jill Sanders Discovering Pride (The Pride #2) by Jill Sanders Returning Pride (The Pride #3) by Jill Sanders Lasting Pride (The Pride #4) by Jill Sanders My book boyfriend lives there, lol. So when I heard this was going to be a crossover series, I was very excited.

This is Katie and Jason's book. Katie is the little sis of Ric Derby, owner of The Blue Spot Galleries. She came to visit him, and ran out in a hurry. Lasting Pride ends with her life in major turmoil. Here we get the story.

Katie leaves the States and goes on a year long self discovery journey across Europe. She is trying to escape the spotlight, that has been thrown on her, due to her mother's affair and her two very wealthy, high up dads. She is hurt and everyone seems against her, including her long time best friend, Jason.

Jason sets off in search of Katie, when no one hears from her. He is worried about his friend, and there still is the matter of "the kiss" to deal with. The kiss that ruined everything, their friendship, her heart and her trust. When mommy dearest offers to pay his way around to find her, he takes the opportunity.

Only time will tell if they can mend there friendship. But that will have to wait, because his easy mission just got harder. With money comes trouble, and her dads have all kinds of money. What happens when mommy and daddy are rich? Kidnappings and Ransoms and bears oh my. Just playing, no bears. Now they must evade the thugs, that are trying to get them.

The end plan is to meet up with her BD as she calls him, her Biological Dad. She is also going to meet her brother, Dante. Dante runs New Edge back in Portland. Hopeful the family can start to function as an unit, again.

So I can already tell, this is going to be a great series. Love it already. I can't wait to see what Secret Pleasure Secret Pleasure by Jill Sanders has in store for us. I'm already looking forward to doing a reread of both of the series, back to back.

Oh and the Secret series has started off

DNF. Baffling and exaggerated. It starts with a disconnected phone call and moves straightly to an indefinite time in the future when the heroine wanders around the Europe in search of who knows what and almost... gets kidnapped..I mean: really?

The first book in the Secret series by Jill Sanders. Katie Derby is given some shocking news and skips town. Well, actually, she skips the country and for a year has been traveling all over Europe. Jason Keaton and Katie have been friends since they were children. Katie is in love with Jason and just before her departure, she kissed Jason and was hoping he returned her feelings. Unknown to Katie is that Jason has been chasing after Katie all over Europe and in Greece he manages to interrupt a kidnapping attempt on Katie.

It was fun and entertaining. But it does end with a slight cliffhanger, setting up the next book in the series. Not real crazy about cliffhangers but this one wasn't too unpleasant.

Captivating read!

Katie Just no having a good week, she has been In love with her best freind Jason for years and finally impulsively she kisses him but does not gt the reaction she hopes for; sitting the next day at lunch with him assuring him that she just had too much to drink at the party and forget the kiss because the thought of loosing him is just not acceptable a simple phone call from her mom just makes the day worse . Katie's mom is calling to tell her information that should be done one on he and not over the phone but the media has got the info and her mom wants it to come from her. Katiesmom apparently has been married to two men her father that raised her and the man that is her actual birth father Damiano Cardone needless to say this is just too much or Katie to handle she is fainting and hitting the floor before Jason can even catch her.

Over the next few weeks Katie discovers that friends aren't friends when it comes to money and the media and just can not take it any longer ; she leaves in a hurry from school in Boston with just a backpack and a few items. Months later with no contact from Katie, Jason is determined to go find her and it just so happens her mother has reached the same point so Katherine financially backs Jason on his journey and search for Katie.

When Jason finally catches up to her he follows behind shadowing her until someone tries to kidnap her and his protective instincts kick in ;from this point on Katie and Jason begun a roller coaster ride through Europe trying o prevent her abduction never mind the fact that Katie's heart has been re- awakened to her love for Jason, thank goodness Jason is seeing the Katie differently and the rest of the book and journey heat up!

Great adventure, family drama , wonderful romance and what would this story be without an HEA!

I'm really not entirely sure what I just read. I mean, this girl finds out that her Mother was married to some rich Italian guy in Italy and at the same time her Mom was married to some rich guy in the USA. The girl doesn't know this until her Mother calls her one day tells her while she's at the coffee shop reliving an embarrassing moment between her childhood and life long friend.

She freaks out and leaves USA and travels around Europe for a year. Then, she decides to make contact with her biological father who happens to be the rich Italian guy that she has never met. In the mist of her actually making physical contact with him for the first time, some goons try to catch her and then oh, did I mention the childhood friend has been following her around Europe for basically the entire time?

The run away from the goons and then they catch her and she escapes then bam, the story ends. I feel like it was dragging along in most of the book and then a great deal of it was missing and then wow, they are engaged and getting married the next day in Italy.

It was a free book on iBooks so I shouldn't be complaining so much but jeeze!

This is the story of Katie Derby and her best friend Jason. Finding out that she has been living a lie all her life, she leaves everything and everyone behind her and sets off to explore Europe in an effort to forget her past and rediscover herself. Jason is on her tracks all the time, secretly keeping her out of trouble. Once they meet, fun begins!!!!!!!!!!

I would give this book a 3,5 rating. It was a delightful book and it kept me awake all night to read it. Lovely romance with a pinch of mystery, but as some of it is set in Greece and I am Greek, I do have some objections about it. However, people from other countries surely will not have any and will find this book quite well-written (I spotted a few typos).
Since this is part of a series, I would like to say that I liked its plot and it did make me want to search for the rest of the books.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

The overall story was a good idea, but the telling of the story seemed disjointed to me, and at times confusing, almost like this wasn't the first book in the series. There were flashbacks that were mentioned at times that seemed like they were giving the reader a quick jog of the memory on a past story, but I've not been able to determine if those characters indeed have their own story (Ric and his wife and how they met for example). The end was a bit unbelievable, I can understand Katie's brother Ric jumping into action to help, but I'm not sure if Dante knew about her all along and that's why he rushed to help, I only know that his helping is the setup for his own story (book 2 in the series). And the ending, that was the reason for all that transpired in the story?

A quick, light read, but I more than likely won't finish up the series.

I'm not really sure where to begin on this one. I truly wish I could give it more than 2 stars, maybe 2 and a half; but I simply cannot justify more than that. The prologue was a rushed mess and completely unbelievable. There was no real storyline. I felt like I was reading the middle of a c-rated movie script. Grammar and spelling were done well, so when I say this book needs an editor, I am referring to the content itself. More tell than show, but there were so many errors in description, it was difficult to suspend reality and look past it. I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be reading a romance, a drama, or an action- the genres were NOT blended well at all. I couldn't even get into the characters much. I absolutely cannot believe the author has been published as many times as she has, let alone as a bestselling author. I will pass on her other works.

Secret Seduction is the first Jill Sanders book I’ve ever read, and although I didn’t quite know what to expect, I was pleasantly surprised by what I did read. Secret Seduction is about young woman named Katie who has escaped her life in Boston, escaped the scandal currently rocking her family, to just get away and re-evaluate her life.

What Katie doesn’t know is that her best friend, Jason, has been searching for her, following her across Europe (for an entire year) in the hopes of bringing her home once more. One night while walking back from the beach, Katie finds herself in trouble as two men try to kidnap her. Because Jason has been tailing her, he comes to rescue, convincing her to go on the run as he’s sure this won’t be the last time they see either of the two men.

We follow them across Greece and finally into Italy where they believe they’ll be safe, but when they let their guard down is when they lose everything.

Alright, so the things I liked about this book. Let’s start with the sex scenes in this book. They were sweet and tastefully written, but I was disappointed to see Katie was that clichéd virginal twenty-something-year-old woman. There is one quite steamy one involving a strawberry and some cream that will leave you fanning yourself, though. I also enjoyed the descriptions of place, towns and the countryside they travel through on their way to Rome. I could really picture the narrow streets and small cafes that are talked about.

Although I think the idea behind this book is good, I’m not so sure the writing style executed it. There were a number of plot inconsistencies that I found ranging from what clothing the characters are wearing, to the geography of the airports in relation to the rest of the city. The pacing of the book was also a little off, and the thought were disjointed with the jumps into the past as Katie and Jason remember different parts of their history together.

I could see what Sanders was trying to do with some of the plot developments i.e. Jason’s big ‘secret’, but lack of story building/plot building meant that they just weren’t pulled off as successfully as they could have been. There were also some really implausible parts in this book including a Greek woman who was speaking in broken English an hour previously to being able to speak in perfect English using complex sentences. It is things like these that detract from the whole believability of the plot.

Overall, it was an okay read. I liked elements of it, which meant that I wanted to keep reading it. I also think that if I read the books in the order they were written (there’s one before and one after in this series) I would have a better understanding of the overall plot and character histories.

**MILD SPOILERS**

This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout the entire book. At the same time a love story evolves that is touching and well developed throughout the book.

The main characters, Katie and Jason, are well developed by author Jill Sanders. I felt that I knew them and that I was on their journey right along with them.

At the beginning of the book Katie is delivered some devastating news. She has also made a fool of herself in front Jason, the guy she has been friends with for years and now has deeper feelings for. Feeling betrayed by everybody she knows, Katie leaves town without telling anybody where she is headed. She leaves her cell phone behind and is unreachable.

As she wanders aimlessly from country to country, her family is worried sick about her. Although they understand her pain and confusion they are desperate to find her and try to make things right.

Katie is unaware that Jason has found her and is following her from a distance. While alone on a beach one night Katie finds herself in trouble as two men try to kidnap her. Jason comes to her rescue. While grateful for his help she is confused as to why he is there. Before she can get any answers bullets start flying and it's obvious they are meant for her.

Forcing Jason and Katie to go on the run they can't figure out who wants to kill Katie or why. I was on the edge of my seat as they are chased and targeted time and again. As they are running they are also trying to figure out their feelings for each other.

After being attacked, injured and terrified they finally reach a destination where her family is waiting for her. While they are safe there is one problem. Katie wants nothing to do with one of her family members. As complications and confusion filter through Katie's mind the one person who is there for her is Jason. The sex scenes between Katie and Jason are hot and steamy!

As a reader I must say I hate cliffhangers. But while one good thing comes to Katie and Jason, the author writes the cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers! I was left with more questions than answers but now my curiosity is peaked and I can't wait for the next book in this series to come out! Oh how I hate waiting! But this next book will be worth waiting for and I hope to get so many answers that I didn't get in this first book.

Oh....did I mention that part of the cliffhanger is the introduction of a mysterious new character who is the very definition of evil!

I highly recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, excitement and a love story with steamy sex to boot!

Sorry but this just didn't make sense.
My Problems:
1 Jason 'betrayed' Katie by talking to the media. Did he or didn't he? I still am not certain and it is never completely resolved just sot of put to one side.
2 Jason is a controlling, manipulative and arrogantly superior ass for a lot of the book, but apparently we should just believe he loves Katie and just wants what's best for her? She's an adult and he isn't her father, therefore the word he's looking for is 'persuasion'!
3 Why is Jason on her mother's side? If you love someone, and they have a legitimate grievance, you let them make the decision how they will react and you support them! If you have a different opinion they you voice it, but when they are the injured party THEY make the final decision and you support it. And as for him comparing HIS sense of betrayal over HER mother's actions to HER sense of betrayal over the same... Are you KIDDING me? How arrogant is he? I have no words....
4 why isn't Katie's mother in jail? Bigamy is illegal in both the US and Italy so why didn't either Country prosecute her? And also how weak is her biological father? We're told that Roderick the man she though was her father was as blindsided by everything as she was so fair enough he didn't know, but her biological father did! He knew he'd married her, he knew she'd abandoned her son, he knew she robbed him of knowing his daughter growing up, And he STILL married (or is is re-married) her when she was legally divorced from Roderick? WHY?
5 No one seemed to care who was behind the kidnapping attempts? Why? If it was me, my daughter or the person I loved I'd be interested!
There is a lot more that irritated me but I think I'll stop there....
Can't recommend this one to anyone I'm afraid (at least not if I like them...)

Poorly constructed story and the writting was bad as well. Every other paragraph begins with "and then he", "and then she", or he was "totally on guard", " he was totally sure". How did this get through proofreading without being changed?

The story itself is just as bad. RIch woman happens to be married to two rich guys, one in the USA and one in Italy and has lied to her daughter about her biological father. Big scandal! All her friends and her friendzoned guyfriend turn on her and she freaks out and heads to Europe. The guy who is totally in love her of course follows her and saves her from being kidnapped. He then drags her all through Greece without ever answwering her questions and she's fine with it because oh he is so handsome and so I'm just going to go along with it all and let him feel me up whenever he wants. Ordinary friend guy turns into James Bond 2.0 and rescues her from kidnapers again, they go to Italy and are suddenly married....
The idea itself presented so many possibilities for this story. There could have been a true development to those characters and Katie finding her real family but in the end all she does is sleep with her childhood frined, take the longest route possible from Greece to Rome and then get married. Period.
Really really bad.

I found...everything ridiculous, unfortunately, from the premise of the story, the unpredictable, spoilt and childish behaviour of the (supposed) heroine/hero to the unconvincing style of writing that was disjointed and somewhat unfocused. It was hard not to scoff at everything that severely challenged my ability to suspend disbelief as much as I wanted to like this book. (also made me wish I had a shelf named 'Why did I bother?')

An interesting twist to the romance genre wrought with intrigue and multiple attempted kidnappings. Great characters with intriguing personalities definitely make the story line even stronger. Add in a bit of crossover from a previous series by this author and this book is a must a read. Now I need to read the next book in the series!

What kind of news could be so devastating to you that you would leave everything behind and wander Europe for a year, not telling anyone where you were or even if you were alive? For Katie, her devastating news became global gossip and traveling anonymously was her only escape while she came to terms with a life that had been a huge lie. Her most heartbreaking loss was Jason, her best friend and the man she was in love with, and one-sided love can be a humiliating thing. So far, life on the back roads of Europe hasn’t been too bad, until that one terrifying night when she is attacked. A Guardian Angel came to her rescue, the same one who has been following her on her journey, hiding in the shadows. Imagine Katie’s shock at discovering it was Jason who saved her, and that he may be the only thing that stands between her and an almost certain death as they begin a nightmarish run for their lives trying to stay one step ahead of the shadowy evil that stalks them. Katie knows Jason is holding something back, not telling her something, but she hasn’t quite figured out what that something is. And what is it Jason wants to talk about? Surely, it’s just to tell her he doesn’t feel “that way” about her, or does he? Who is after Katie and why? Will they reach safety on their own, or will help come from a completely unexpected source?

With all of the intrigue and the race to stay alive, Secret Seduction by Jill Sanders is still a tender love story, filled with innocence and passion. Centered around two main characters, Secret Seduction is sigh-worthy. Katie is such a wonderful character, strong and smart in so many ways, yet so naïve in others. Jason has a quiet strength, sense of loyalty and a protective nature that makes you want to find out if he has a brother! The dialogue was very realistic, as were the backgrounds and details of each scene. I was glad to be the proverbial fly on the wall during the hiking scenes, which in spite of it being fiction, made my feet hurt!

Secret Seduction is a tremendous start to the Secret Series from talented author Jill Sanders! Do you like romance? Action? A refreshing twist of a plot with characters you can truly root for? Give this one a try!

Katie Derby had a simple life. She had always had everything that she wanted, wore designer clothes and drove the best cars. Sure her parents always seemed to have fights, her mom would fly away to Italy and her dad would go to Alaska. It had always been that way for as long as she could remember but they would always calm down and make up. Never in a million years would she have guessed exactly what had been really been going on and that when that secret was out, it would change her life forever.

Jason and Katie had been best friends since they were small children and he saved her drowning at the country club that their moms often frequented. He’d never seen her anything other than his best friend, the one person that he knew he could always count on. At least he didn’t until she kissed him and all he did was sit there. He wanted to explain it to her but before he could, Katie’s life went spiraling out of control and she disappeared with no contact her to her family, friends or him. When he finally finds her half way around the world, he has no idea what’s in store for them because someone is after Katie and while they want her alive, they don’t care if he gets killed in the process.

If you read the book Lasting Pride then you have read the Epilogue to this book because it’s pulled word for word from Katie and Jason’s meeting at the coffee shop. This was a great spin off book and I will say that while I was able to figure out who the bad guys were in the all of the other books, this one I had no idea and was really caught off guard when it was revealed at the end. I never saw it coming!

Secret Seduction is another well written book by Jill Sanders with lots of mystery, intrigue and romance. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, Secret Pleasure, which features two of the characters from this book.

Secret Seduction starts with Katie getting some really bad news from her mom. She finds out that her father is not really her biological father. Since she is from a very wealthy family this is big media news. All her so called friends are interviewed by the media which makes Katie feel betrayed. Katie leaves for a trip travelling around Europe and doesn't tell anybody that she is going.

Katie and Jason have been best friends since she was eight so he misses her and absolutely needs to find her. Once he does find her, they realize someone is trying abduct her. They have to run from whoever is after Katie and at this time, their true romantic feelings for each other come out.

The characters are well developed so that I felt I knew them. Katie is strong and smart but also a bit odd at times. She did some dumb things but luckily Jason was around to help her out. Jason is protective and loyal to Katie. He handled everything calmly with a quiet strength.

I really liked the story line and found it different from others I have read. I thought that Katie and Jason spent too much time in bed and this interrupted the flow of the story for me. But imagine finding out that the man you have always thought was your father isn't. Wow!

As a good book should, this novel leaves you both satisfied and wanting more. This novel is well and smoothly written, mixing a well thought out story line with descriptions and narrative that draw you in, allowing you to walk through the world inhabited by the characters.

Overall, this was a very cute story that kept me hooked throughout.

Please note that I received this novel free of charge from the author in exchange for an honest review.

This was a fun book to read. You easily will fall into liking the characters.

Katie has been in love with her best friend Jason since they met when he saved her from when she almost drown when she was 8. But she has always kept her crush secret until one night she gets drunk at a party and kisses him. He does not return the kiss. The next day they meet for coffee since Jason wants to discuss the kiss while at coffee Katie gets a call that shakes her whole life up.

**** spoilers ahead *****

She finds out her father isn't her father. That her father is an Italian business mogul that her that her mother was always in love with. But never told him she was pregnant when she left and went back to her husband. But now the secret is out. To escape all of it Katie one night takes off leaving everything and everyone behind, or so she thought. That is pretty much the preface.

The book begins a year later, Katie has been crisscrossing across Europe living off nothing but her savings. Never contacting her family. But little does she know her best friend Jason has been following her. Then one night he over hears two men discussing a plan to kidnap Katie for ransom. So know he has to protect her. And this is where the fun begins and you get a nice mystery with your romance. And there is some very sexy scenes in this book once the two finally admit to each other that they both love each other.

I read this book in a day. Its 250 pages. Its a fun quick read. It is predictable in the romance part but I will say you will never guess who the bad guy is that is paying the kidnappers to get rid of Katie and why. I won't spoil that.

I think there may have been a book or more ahead of this. It seems to be a series.

Katie has made a mistake she's let her defenses down and showed her feelings to her best friend. When he doesn't reciprocate those feelings she feels miserable. That is until she gets a phone call that devastates her world. Instead of dealing with life she takes off.

How convenient that her family has money. It lets her run around through Europe for over a year. The same money that comes from a family she refuses to talk to. I found this part to be terrible. How can you gallivant around Europe, hopping from country to country with no responsibility and yet not talk to your family to even let them know you're safe. Maddening.

Anyway, back to the story. I'm not so sure I felt this one. I mean, her best friend, Jason happened to be following her when all hell broke loose. I didn't really click with the characters. I mean Katie followed Jason around her entire life. I get there were some feelings from the get go but Jason either didn't want to see them or didn't have them in the beginning. Still, I didn't like how they came together.

That being said the story was not terrible but how many times can the same thing happen to you? Anyway, obviously, there's more going on than we see but it appears as though all is revealed at the end of this one setting up the rest of the series.

Anyway, for me this was just an average middle of the road story for me.

Secret Seduction by Jill Sanders

If you found out today that you were living a lie what would you do? Ok, better yet if the world found out with you and you had to face it in the public eyes. Jill's mother told her over the phone that her life was about to change. The news was global gossip that left her devastated, so she ran leaving behind everything and everyone that she knew.
But her most heartbreaking loss was her best friend Jason, the man she has been in love with all her life. Taking all the back roads she traveled all across Europe, until one night she was attacked only to be saved by Jason.
Jason's character is very strong and faithful to Jill and come off as her white knight.
Where as Jill is the airhead with all the questions, she is traveling a rounding Europe a long, but do not have a clue about safety. If you are in danger if doesn't matter where you sleep!
Her love for Jason help find her inter strength to save her life.
Forgiveness is hard to give to someone especially if that person is family, the question becomes can Jill forgive her mother or will she keep running ?
Over all with the suspense, action and mix in a little romance it had a good feel to it.
I read this in one afternoon, nice and entertaining read...

I am looking to see where this series goes..

Friendship is the best prerequisite for love. This is a truism I can personally attest to. Loose lips sink ships but loose morals can also devastate a family. Katie Derby grew up deep in the shadow of deception and when she finally came into the bright light of truth, it was almost her destruction. Kathleen Derby admitted that the father she had known all her life wasn’t her biological father. She was conceived in Greece when her mother was touring Europe. Her life, as she knew it, was a lie and she felt lost and alone as even her best friends deserted her when this knowledge became public. After a year of European travel Katie was finally ready for the next step in redefining and reconstructing her life; meeting her BF (biological father), Damiano Cardone. That was when her life made a desperate and unexpected twist. Suddenly her life was unexplainably threatened and only thanks to her long-time very best friend Jason she could escape unscathed. Who wanted her harmed? How long could they stay ahead and safe from this portent of danger? The plethora of suspense and intrigue keeps your eyes nervously glued to the book as the story unfolds. The reader takes a local tour as the two fugitives meander around the Greek countryside, using every conceivable means of conveyance, trying to elude their enemies.

This was a fast-paced fun and sexy adventure. Sanders brings us right into the action from the word Go with this one. I did enjoy the flashbacks to the childhood relationship between the two characters, building their history as we are whisked along on this high-stakes ride. The chemistry was undeniable, and the plot was intriguing. While I enjoyed learning about their history through the flashbacks, I think I would have preferred an actual scene depicting their relationship at the point of the kiss at the party right before she gets the call from her mother that changes her life. I would have liked to actually experience the dynamic between them at this point in their relationship, rather than hearing it also in flashback mode. I think I might have rooted for them more as a couple in the beginning if I'd experienced this interaction first hand. It took me a little while to warm up to the characters, to feel for them and empathize with them because we were thrust right into the action before we got to know them. However by the mid-point I was definitely captivated and very entertained. I really liked the way the ending eluded to the culprit behind the kidnapping and hinted at more trouble to come. I'm definitely curious to read the next installment. Well done!

This was a fun book. I read it all pretty much in one setting, so it definitely kept my attention.

I liked the story of Katie and Jason, but I am a huge huge HEA advocate. The fact that they had been best friends since childhood? Romantic! :D I liked their travels throughout Europe as well ... I currently live in Europe, so that was fun to read about their treks.

The biggest problem I had with this was the lack of conflict resolution, or even a good explanation for that matter. That being said, I don't mind serial books (quite the opposite, good ones you can really really get into!) but for me there needs to be more than .

Let me start off by saying I really enjoyed this book.
Katie was told some devastating news (over the phone) by her mother and after a month of trying to deal with it she finally had enough and took off to Europe leaving everything behind except for some clothes. No Phone, No Computer no way for anyone to get into contact with her. While she was traveling from Country to Country she was attacked by two men. Jason - Katie's best friend -had been following her (unbeknownst to her) and stepped in and got her away from the men. The story continues with them fleeing from Greece to go to Rome where her family is waiting to meet her.
I will not spoil the ending but I will let you know that that they become more then "Just friends" and watching their relationship grow was really sweet.

I thought the story was a good one, and a strong one and I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

I was given a copy of this book before publication in exchange for my honest opinion. Then purchased on November 10, 2013

A fast paced romantic suspense that keeps you glued to your seat, and turning the pages. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Katie Derby’s mother has just informed her of a family secret that her father isn’t really her biological father. Once the media has gotten hold of the story, Katie’s life spirals out of control. Her so-called friends have betrayed her. She also thinks that her best friend, Jason Keaton has betrayed her. She takes off abroad to find herself and escape the humiliation of the media, and meet her biological father.

She is almost kidnapped in Greece and is rescued by Jason, who has been sent to find her and make sure she’s safe. Katie and Jason meet with several accidents and abductions along the way to Rome. Who can they trust? Who are the men who are after them? Who’s the mastermind behind the plot to kidnap her? Find out the answers by reading the book.
