Voters Overwhemingly Oppose GOP Strategy on Obamacare A new Quinnipiac poll finds that American voters oppose Congress shutting down the federal government to block implementation of Obamacare, 72% to 22%. Voters also oppose blocking an increase in the nation's debt ceiling as a way to stop Obamacare, 64% to 27%. Key finding: "American voters are divided on Obamacare, with 45% in favor and 47% opposed, but they are opposed 58% to 34% to Congress cutting off funding for the health care law to stop its implementation." Said pollster Peter Brown: "Americans are certainly not in love with Obamacare, but they reject decisively the claim by Congressional Republicans that it is so bad that it's worth closing down the government to stop it. politicalwire.com/archives/2013/10/01/voters_overwhemingly_oppose_gop_strategy_on_obamacare.html
