Puma were caught out in spectacular fashion when Twitter pranksters hijacked a carefully planned PR campaign.

Whilst trying promoting their new ‘Forever Faster’ campaign, the sports giants devised a nifty idea to give fans a personalised Twitter card from Puma superstars.

All supporters had to do was tweet Puma with ‘#foreverfaster’ and they’d receive their very own message of support from their idols.

Cool, eh?

Very!

Apart from when sneaky rival fans changed their Twitter names to resemble some not so nice phrases to accompany Puma’s (presumably automated!) messages, which were tweeted back to the user.

Radamel Falcao, a reported target for Liverpool, was the subject of an Arsenal fan’s prank, while Cesc Fabregas, Marco Reus and Usain Bolt didn’t escape unscathed either.
