WEST LINN, Ore. (KOIN 6) — Community members mourned the death of three local high schoolers over the weekend, and Monday a West Linn High School student revealed a tribute video for his fallen classmates.

The video titled, “Long Live Cooper and Antonio: In Remembrance of Cooper Hill and Antonio Caballero” was posted to YouTube by West Linn junior Sam Deerborn on Sunday.

Monday evening, community members from Oregon City and West Linn held a joint vigil for Cooper, Antonio and Madison West, who also died in a traffic collision over the weekend.

West Linn students Cooper Hill and Antonio Caballero, plus Oregon City student Madison West, all died in traffic crashes over the weekend. A joint vigil is planned for Feb. 23, 2015 (KOIN 6 News)

The vigil, held at 7 p.m. in Clackamette Park, was a way to put school rivalries aside as students honored their late classmates. Hundreds gathered at the vigil to honor the lives of the three students, gone too soon. Students shared stories, lit candles and released balloons in their memory.

“There’s so much love going on,” students said. “That’s all you feel is love, and grief, that we are expressing together.”

Grief counselors will remain at the school throughout the week to help students deal with the tragedies.
