Auburn wins Super Regional, advances to College World Series

Auburn made history Saturday at Jane B. Moore Field, and dignitaries and players across several sports were in attendance.

The softball team advanced to the school's first College World Series with a 6-3 victory against Louisiana-Lafayette. Auburn football coach Gus Malzahn and athletics director Jay Jacobs were among those in the stands.

Auburn will face the winner of the Arizona-LSU Super Regional in its first game of the World Series in Oklahoma City on Thursday.
