Using a resource like an instructional coach who can co-plan, co-teach and co-reflect on your experience within a classroom is a great model to improve practice. Encourage your school board to provide release time or schedule common planning time. No coach - work with your favourite colleague.

I just finished my first year of teaching. Received 0 PD and put in 70 hours a week. Can't have a repeat of last year.

Time needs to be spent with teachers writing curriculum to meet Common Core Needs. Excerpts simply aren't cutting it!
