REDEMPTION (DEVIANT Book 2) Kindle Edition
Or could you?
From the moment Tyler was six, she fell in love with that cocky eight-year-old boy with the black spiky hair, captivating blues eyes, and scruffy uniform. From the moment he punched a boy for hurting her, Tyler knew there was no going back. They were always meant to be together...
Always.
Then everything changed. The stage was set like a tragic Shakespearean play, and Tyler’s and Dean’s world—as they knew it—had ended.
Or had it?
Tyler
My name was Jessica now. I faked my own death, changed my identity, and moved thousands of miles across the ocean just to escape the one man I would never get out of my heart. I had a four-year-old son I adored more than anything in the world. On one fateful, horrific night, the life I knew disappeared in the blink of an eye. I left people behind. People I cared about. People I would never forget. People I loved.
But had I truly moved on?
No one said leaving behind the one man you had loved since you were six would be easy. I lived life day-to-day. I even met a man and tried to settle down. Evan was a man any woman would desire. So why could I not love him the way he obviously loved me? Why couldn’t I move past the dark-haired, blue-eyed boy who consumed my every thought? I may have left him, but he had never truly left me.
I could never love another man. Dean made sure of that the day he breezed into my life. I was only half a woman now. I had been broken and bruised by the one man I thought I could always love and trust. How could I let go of something like that? I suppose I just had to. I was just getting by with each day that passed. I was coping. I was managing, and that was keeping me from falling apart.
But then disaster struck again. And it was on that day…
Everything changed.
Dean
You can’t hide forever, Tyler. I will always be hunting you, always be searching, and will never give up. If there was ever one certainty in your life, it was that. You slipped through my fingers, not once but twice. You took my heart with you when you left me that day. No amount of alcohol, women, or punching bags would block you from my mind. You couldn’t be dead. I wouldn’t allow you to be dead. You’re out there somewhere. I must congratulate you that you had evaded me for this long. You always were a smart girl. How could I not have fallen in love with you? You did escape me this time, but I will find you, Tyler. I promise you that. And when that day comes…
I will finally make you MINE.

Set four years after the gripping and shocking ending of Deviant Tyler O'Shea is merely existing in her new life in the states. She's a kindergarten teacher, financially wealthy but feels empty and alone. Her only solace is Jeremy, he keeps her going; without him she'd be hollow after the betrayals of Ian and Dean have left her feeling like: "I was drowning, flailing in a sea threatening to swallow me whole and never spit me out again."
Tyler has managed to allude Dean Scozzari finding her for 4 years, but when an event rocks Tyler's carefully constructed new life her world begins to shatter around her with the act of one phone call back home to England.
This book is truly about Dean's redemption, he never gave up in finding Tyler and this book is him fighting to find Tyler, make up for everything he did to her and doing his best to let her see he's not Lotus anymore.....and make her 'his'. Tyler is understandably not one to easily let Dean back into her life, she battles with the conflicting feelings she has for him against what he's capable of doing: "You're too dangerous to my mind, my body, my heart. Don't you understand that? Don't you understand what you did to me?" But her dilemma lies in choosing: do you fight for what your heart desires and take a chance at possibly being truly complete with the risk of heart break and danger or keep running and hiding living a half existence without your other half?
When her old and new life collide and many secrets are revealed who will Tyler trust and what will she do with the secret she's protecting too? Plus, can you ever truly leave your dangerous past behind now matter how hard you try to escape it or will its roots find you wherever you go and wreak chaos and vengeance in its wake?
I devoured every page of this book and delighted in the humour, drama and passion within its pages. Jimmy and Tara were amazing secondary characters who I hope we get more on and gave the whole book a family feel to it. Redemption is more than a concluding book to Deviant, it's story telling at its best and I can't recommend this book and Deviant enough!!!

I admit I was one of those readers after finishing Deviant was ready to hunt down Jaimie Roberts and force her to tell me what happened to Tyler & Dean. I was devastated after the last book as Dean broke my heart but in this book showed me the man I thought he always was.
Jeremy and Dean's relationship was endearing and all the supporting characters helped bind this story together.
Talk about throwing a curve ball in towards the end, I had tears in my eyes and loved the twists and turns with old foe's and new friends alike.
Thank you Jaimie Roberts for Redemption, this was a beautiful read and Tyler and Dean deserved the closure as characters you gave them.

When Tyler faked her death, she knew Dean would never believe it and would keep looking for her. She's moved to another country and changed her name but can't move on even though she's met a really great guy. No one can make her feel like Dean does. Plus Tyler feels guilty for keeping the knowledge of their son Jeremy from his father. When Jeremy gets sick, Tyler freaks out and calls her parents rather than contacting them the way she normally does. She knows it will only be a matter of time before Dean locates her. She's not wrong.
Watching Dean grovel and try to convince Tyler to give him another chance was an emotional process. You could tell how sorry he genuinely was for the past and how very much he loves her. However you know that Tyler has good reason to be scared of him hurting her again and her hesitancy of giving him her trust was understandable. When Dean sees Jeremy for the first time he has no idea he has a son. One look at Jeremy's eyes and he knows. It's really touching and doesn't take more than Jeremy smiling up at Dean to have him wrapped around his little finger. The connection between Tyler and Dean is still as strong as ever and Dean vows never to give up and to prove to Tyler that he'll change for her and his son.
Their best friends, Tara and Jimmy are a great addition and have a side story that I enjoyed as well. Both of them are funny and add a bit of lightness to the story. Redemption isn't the dark book that Deviant was and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Overall, I loved it. It's told from dual POVs with a little bonus at the end from Jimmy. I'm so glad the author decided to extent this story into another book and allow us more time with these characters to get the ending that they deserve.

I started reading this book yesterday ......yep yesterday. I finished the first book in this series - Deviant (which you need to read in order to understand this book) I literally clicked Redemption immediately after finishing book one and leaving my review for it, then I dived straight into this book for a number of reasons....1- I didn't want to lose the connection to the characters and 2- I SO NEEDED TO FIND OUT WHAT HAPPENS!!!!!
So I settled myself with a cup of tea and didn't come up for air until I was about 50% in! Mummy duties then called but once the children were sorted and settled in bed I went straight back to reading - that's how much this book captivated me......as I found with book one I couldn't turn the pages fast enough I was totally sucked back into the characters world and connected to them- so much so I was awake until 3 am when I finished this story !!!
Although Deviant (book 1) was a really dark and shocking read for me, this book Redemption really brought the journey back full circle and concluded all the loose ends and abundance of questions that I was left with after book 1.
This part of the story flips the characters and allows us to see the real side of the male protagonist as he should have been before he was emotionally scarred as the deviant! Now he's not the one with the secrets but he is the one that must redeem himself as worthy.
This really is a very powerful and at times gritty read, there's still elements of mystery, drama and intrigue laced throughout this book as with book one however there's also much more emotion, friendship and in all honesty giggles ! I actually found myself laughing out loud :)
I've absolutely LOVED this two book series and in my opinion it's one of the best I've read. Totally worthy of more than 5 stars if it was possible. With this series you get the whole package book 1 is darker than dark and often down right shocking , where book 2 brings you back into the light and showers you with emotion - full circle completed.
A BRILLIANT series and a FABULOUS read. Thank you to the author for such an amazing journey - I've loved it. I'll be checking out more of this authors work for certain :)
