An alligator crossing the road in Manhattan? It happened.

Police say officers from the 34th precinct found a three-foot-long gator crossing Ninth Avenue near 205th Street Thursday afternoon.

The reptile was brought to an animal care center.

It is not clear how the alligator got on the street or where it came from.

Earlier this week, police removed an alligator and nine snakes from a Brooklyn apartment.

A 44-year-old man was later charged with reckless endangerment among other counts.

The reptiles recovered from that case were taken to Bronx Zoo.
