Bandelion's new work has been created collaboratively by the ensemble, Andrew Ramer, and installation artist Lisa Carroll. Starting with queer creation myths by Andrew Ramer, Bandelion has been experimenting with perspectives on creation, birth, alienation, and belonging. This immersive, ceremonial performance adventure will take place over four Sunday afternoons, for audiences limited to 18 people per show.

Intimacy, improvisation, storytelling, and the creation of constantly morphing worlds–with live music, dance and theater. More info at

A satire of 50’s thriller high school films, Zombie Prom follows Toffee, a sweet gal, and the new, charming boy in town, Jonny (a rebel who spells his name without an “H”). After a high school affair, Toffee dumps Jonny. He, full of despair, jumps into the local nuclear plant which results in his death. All turns eerie when an unexpected guest shows up at the event to end all events, prom. This exciting show is full of twists and great music!

Our summer campers will acquire skills and techniques in the areas of acrobatics, capoeira, and physical theatre, then display those skills in phenomenal collaged performance pieces for an awestruck audience!

As a prelude to our Season 16. Aluta' Continua: The American Century Cycle Project, the Lower Bottom Playaz present a series of works offered to encourage a community dialog about race & place informed by art.

July 30, 7:00 pm : Beyond the Bars: Growing Home 
 A staged reading based on collected stories from the formerly incarcerated centered around the topic of home and belonging. Followed by a discussion moderated by the writer between people affected by incarceration, service providers, artists and the audience. 

July 31, 8:00 pm: An Evening with August Wilson 
A collection of monologues from August Wilson's Century Cycle performed by The Lower Bottom Playaz. Followed by discussion with the Century Cycle Director, The Lower Bottom Playaz and the audience.
 
August 1, 8:00 pm: An Evening with August Wilson followed by community discussion.

August 2, 2:00 pm Beyond the Bars: Growing Home & a preview of Kudzu a piece about tech take over, gentrification, and displacement followed by a community conversation between writers, audience and the artists.
