Men's Golf Finishes 12th at Oglebay Intercollegiate Invitational

2150Mike Rohall shot a two-day total of 159 to tie for 34th-place and lead the Mountain Cat golf team to a 12th-place finish at Sunday's and Monday's Oglebay Resort Intercollegiate Invitational in Wheeling, W.Va.  California University (PA) got a two-over (144) finish from Atle Ruden to win medalist honors, but Millersville claimed the team title on a card-off with the University of Charleston (WV) and California (PA).

Rohall opened the tournament with an 80, before shooting a 79 to finish at 159 at the spring season opener.  Max Waldron  (79, 83-162) tied for 44th, while Brent Bloom (83, 83-166) tied for 56th for Pitt-Johnstown.  Tyler Tiesi (90, 92-182) and Cody Trabert (98, 90-188) rounded out the Mountain Cat golfers with 75th and 77th-place finishes, respectively.

Millersville, Califorina (PA), and Charleston all closed out the two-day tournament at 30-over par (598).  West Chester University (+36, 604) was fourth, and West Liberty (WV) University (+37, 605) was fifth.  Pitt-Johnstown placed 12th at +99 (667) in the 15-team field.

Pitt-Johnstown travels to the West Chester Dr. Ed Cotrell Invitational on April 12-13 , before wrapping-up the spring season at the Indiana University (PA) Spadafora Invitational on April 19-20.
