Zooey Deschanel has always kept the quirk factor high, whether by playing the 'adorkable' Jess on New Girl, starring in some of our favorite indie flicks, or rocking vintage frocks while her peers were stepping out in micro-minis and crop tops, so the new home she just bought with fiancé Jacob Pechenik is a little surprising. The parents-to-be purchased this classic and Colonial-esque home in LA's Manhattan Beach for $4.569 million, according to Curbed.

And while the six-bedroom structure is perfectly lovely, we were expecting Deschanel to settle down somewhere a little more off the beaten path, but we're sure she'll bring her trademark style into the home when she and Pechenik start decorating. The traditional home clocks in at 5,166 square feet and comes equipped with a large kitchen, wine storage, and a walk-in closet with plenty of room for Deschanel's dress collection. Take a closer look at Deschanel's new home in the photos below.
