One Beautiful Revenge is the conclusion to Danny and Sam's story. I liked This Sweet Escape, but I loved One Beautiful Revenge. It takes an incredibly talented author to write such a difficult subject matter and make the words flow beautifully across the page. J. Evans has a story to tell and you can't help but get caught up in her words. It doesn't matter if you agree with the decisions Sam and Danny are making, you are in their corner. No one condones revenge, but Sam doesn't see any other way out of her anger and grief. She wants them to pay for what they did to her and she has a plan. What she didn't count on was coming face to face with Danny, the love she thought she could leave behind. Seeing him reminds her that she wants to be free. She wants to love Danny and have a future. Together, can they come up with a better plan? Will they be able to live with their decisions? I love Sam and Danny. They are sexy, smart and determined, and they love something fierce. Sam shows what a strong woman she is and Danny is supportive, loving and just wonderful. Don't miss this one! Love whispers that living well and loving well are the best revenge. It convinces you to let go, step back, and leave justice in the hands of God or Karma or some other imaginary thing that will never get the job done. "It doesn't matter what you wanted. You're a part of me. Where you go, I go." "You're part of me, and I'd rather cry every day with you than try to learn how to laugh without you."

A pure love that defies time - 5++++ stars After just finishing the first part of Sam and Danny's story, I could not wait to get started on the conclusion. The roller coaster did not slow down at all, and I had to finish reading their story as soon as possible. The intensity and gut wrenching agony that Sam went through was astounding and Jessie writes their story in such a way that you feel like you are right there with her. It wasn't enough that Sam had to live through her nightmare on New Years Eve, but then she had to live through the entire thing again in court. To avoid spoilers, I will leave it here. But, I definitely recommend this book to everyone. I was so enamored with this story that I could not get it out of my mind. I've known the song "Young Love" since I was a young child (it came out just before I was born) and was sung by Frankie Avalon. This story reminded me so much of it that I had to pull up the lyrics. And when I did, I knew that, for me, Sam and Danny's story fit this song to a "T" and this song was made for this story - Young love, first love - Filled with deep devotion - Young love, our love - We share with deep emotion - Just one kiss from your sweet lips - Will tell me that our love is real - And I can feel that it's true - For we will vow to one another - There will never be another - Love for you or for me. A lot of people will say that you can't find true, lasting love when you are a young teenager, but I disagree. I think there are some love stories that are once in a lifetime loves. ***Favorite quote: "Our younger, innocent selves loved purely, but not as fiercely or selflessly as we do now." ********** **Complimentary Copy provided by Author for an honest review.**

"You know what I've been thinking about a lot lately?...Destiny. Fate. Whatever you want to call it. Things that are meant to be...But I think destiny is just the word people give to a decision that couldn't be made any other way. You know, those moments when the choice you're making feels so big, so true, that it's almost like it's coming from outside of you. But it's not. It's just you. Making the right choice, the only choice. So you never have to regret what happens next, no matter how things shake out." Samantha Collins has endured things that no person should have to, suffered the loss of her innocence, her self-confidence, and her reputation. Having experienced the reality that truth does not always prevail, she's doing the only thing she can, making sure that justice is finally served. Danny Cooney is heartbroken, devastated by what Sam, the love of his life, has dealt with. He is determined to show her that she is not alone, and will go to any lengths necessary to let her know. Oh, Jessie Evans. You write these books, and I think that I can't love your characters any more than I already did, but you always prove me wrong. The books in Jessie's Wild Rush series are some of my favorites, and Danny has stolen a big chunk of my heart. I've loved him since I met him in the earlier books in the series, loved seeing him grow into the man that he's become, a man in love, a man unwilling to let the love that has defined him be taken away. And Samantha, the sassy, full-of-life girl that Danny fell in love with, has been in a place that no one should have to go. She's faced the dark side of life, and emerged a different person. Doubt flickers in her eyes, but her hands come to rest on my chest, sending heat and hope rushing across my skin. "I can't make you any promises. I can't even think about the future until this is over." "Then don't think," I say, my lips moving closer to hers. "Feel." One Beautiful Revenge is a signature Jessie love story, but it is also a reminder of the inequality that occurs all too often in this world, where the victim is painted as the offender, and justice is not served. I so appreciate this powerful story, and beautiful ending to this series, and could not but give it 5+ 'thought-provoking, heartbreaking, this is an adrenaline rush, oh, my goodness, thank you for the HEA' stars. This book and the others in the series should be on your TBR; grab them now, and enjoy.
