Bridgeport, Conn. (September 19, 2014) – The Men's Soccer team opened their East Coast Conference play with a 3-0 win over Bridgeport this afternoon.
Roberts Wesleyan took the lead early in the 16
th minute when
Cameron Stewart took a low driving shot off of a cross from
Logan Wood.
While evenly matched on shots on goal, the Redhawks were able to capitalize on an impressive 3 out of their four shots on goal.
The Redhawks second opportunity came late in the first half when
Michael Cunningham beat the keeper on a long run from midfield. Cunningham also scored Roberts Wesleyan's third goal off a breakaway in the 82
nd minute of play.

Michael Scavone, recorded another shut out with four Saves for the match.
The win brings the Redhawks to 3-0-1. They are on the road to face conference rivals Dowling College this Sunday September 21 at 3pm
