D’Angelo, Dr. John, Ed Sheeran and many more will honor the legendary Bill Withers in a massive tribute show at Carnegie Hall on October 1st. Aptly titled “Lean On Him,” the show will see covers of Withers’ hits, as well as a recreation of his 1973 LP Live at Carnegie Hall in its entirety.
The memorable event will feature a rare performance by Withers himself, who will be joined by Sheryl Crow, Aloe Blacc, Amos Lee, Michael McDonald, Keb’ Mo’, Gregory Porter, Kathy Mattea, Ledisi and others TBA. Greg Phillinganes (Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson) will lead the house band and serve as musical director.
