A San Diego news station apologized on Sunday for using a photo of President Obama in the place of a rape suspect during a report last week on a sexual assault case.
“We inadvertently used a photo of President Obama while reporting on a story about charges being dropped in a local case,” an anchor for KSWB told viewers. “We regret the error.”
The slip up happened on Friday evening, as a different anchor began a segment about a sexual assault case in San Diego State University.
As the anchor described the suspect, a photo of Obama flashed onscreen, with the words “no charges” hanging below.
