COLUMBUS, OH - The Toledo men's tennis team could not get anything going on Saturday, as the Rockets were swept by No. 5 Ohio State.

"We hung around quite well in some of our singles matches, so that was a positive sign," head coach Al Wermer said. "But we've got a lot of things we need to work on."

The Rockets were outmatched by the nationally ranked Buckeyes, falling in two of three doubles matchups and three singles matches to complete the sweep.

In the top singles spot, sophomore Stjepan Sisko put up a fight on No. 21 Chris Diaz, as the two were tied at six apiece, as the match went unfinished.

Sisko also teamed up with junior Garrett Cona in the top doubles spot as the duo faced off against the No. 4 doubles team in the country, but fell by the score of 6-3.

The Midnight Blue & Gold is back in action on Wednesday, Jan. 28 for a road match at Xavier, then will face Michigan State on Friday, Jan. 30 in East Lansing.

The Rockets then start a five-match home stint beginning with a doubleheader on Sunday, Feb. 1 against Findlay and Ferris State. The first match is scheduled to begin at noon at Shadow Valley Tennis Club.
