Entertaining at Home: How to Make an Antipasto Platter

All great entertainers will tell you that no repertoire is complete without an antipasto or entertainer’s platter. We’ve taken the guesswork out and have created three step-by-step videos to show you how to make a cheese platter.

Antipasto, which literally means ‘before the meal’ is a delicious combination of small bites of tasty food often accompanied by wine and served as a starter… though I have been to many a get-together where we have never progressed from the starters!

Aussie-Farmers-Direct-Entertaining-Platters

Antipasto platters are usually offerings of cured deli meats, salty olives, tasty cheeses, marinated vegetables, seafood delicacies and crackers or rustic bread to put it all together. They will often include a dip or two and the success is in the simplicity. Luckily for the host it is always best to keep these platters simple! When done right these will bring a relaxed and casual feel to your event. Keep the choices to a minimum and just give a bit of forethought to how many you’re catering for and what flavours are going to work best with each other.

During any festive season, I like to keep my cheese drawer in the fridge well-stocked with staples I can use to put together a quick entertainers platter – PERFECT for unexpected guests!

Aussie Farmer’s Direct has a great selection of items to have on hand for the many events coming up over the coming months. So easy to order online and have it delivered to our door! Talk about taking the effort out of entertaining.

Our quick videos will show you just how easy it is to put together a simple entertainers platter AND to make it even easier we have TWO ENTERTAINER PACKS to giveaway so scroll down!
