Athens readies new 40,000 square-foot library

ATHENS, AL (WAFF) - The doors to the new Athens public library will officially open to the public Monday.
It's located in the former Kroger building on South Jefferson Street.
The 40,000 square-foot facility will be open on limited hours throughout the reminder of the year:
Monday, Dec. 29-Tuesday, Dec. 30: 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Dec. 31-Jan. 1: Closed
Jan. 2-3: 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
