Govt hospitals on code white starting Saturday

Government hospitals are going on Code White alert starting this weekend to prepare for revelry-related injuries or medical conditions.

The Department of Health expects all staff of government hospitals to stand by for deployment, radio dzBB reported Saturday.

Under Code White, medical staff in government hospitals will be on call while health emergency management staff will be on 24-hour duty.

Aside from fireworks-related injuries, health personnel will be on alert for cases of heart attacks and strokes caused by overeating or drinking.
