Ailsa Abraham

Celt by birth, now living in Eastern France. Has had more jobs than she can remember but retired due to ill health so can now concentrate on writing full time.

Having followed a pagan path all her life, Ailsa writes novels that feature this with huge helpings of adventure and romance. What she does NOT write is the usual "dungeons and dragons" or "willowy teenage witches" stories.

In her village she is a shaman and healer but finds time to knit, cook and collect an unfeasibly large number of homeless teddy bears.

Her pets have included a bat, ferrets, and a raven as well as the more usual domestic ones.

Her only ambition is to continue writing and perhaps return to the UK to live one day.

A wonderful tale of the trials and tribulations faced by Nanny Ab as she ventures on a caravan holiday accompanied by Grumpus and their two hounds. There is a smile on every page with many laugh out loud moments too. Fiestas, fireworks, unscrupulous campers and other peoples children all contribute to the story and will have many a traveller nodding in agreement and empathising with the four holiday makers.

Nanny Ab and her assorted tribe are a Tour de Force and her target is the family's favourite spot in Catalonia, Spain.

However, all is not well on the Spanish Front when a NEW ROAD to it is discovered and the world famous SPANISH HOLIDAYs unexpectidly coincide with their plans.

This is a hilarious account that needs to be read BEFORE your next impromptu trip, whether you are a Caravaneer, Camper or beach-loving tourist!

A fab, fun read! I've been sitting here chuckling to myself, imagining the scenes - but also alarmed in places (driving in a gale, with careless lorry drivers cutting you up!). Thank you, Ailsa. I hope there will be more adventures written up for us.
