2015-16 MEN'S SWIMMING & DIVING SCHEDULE

DAVIDSON, N.C.
– Head Coach John Young announced the 2015-16 Davidson men's and women's swimming and diving schedule Friday, which includes eight meets in preparation for the squad's second Atlantic 10 Championship meet.

"I'm excited for the balance of training periods and racing opportunities that this year's schedule offers the team," commented Young. "ODU, Marshall, and UNCW are teams that we haven't seen in a while, and those will be great tests of the Wildcat's ability to embrace competition with well-matched opponents. The same will be the case on Parents' Weekend, when we welcome Georgetown to Cannon Natatorium for a rematch of one of our most enjoyable 2015 dual meets."

The season commences Friday, Oct. 2 with a two-day NC Collegiate Kick-Off in Greensboro, N.C., before the Wildcats travel to Richmond, Va., to take on three A-10 foes: George Mason, Duquesne and the Spiders.

Davidson will host three home meets in Cannon Natatorium, starting with back-to-back weekends on Saturday, Oct. 24 against Georgetown, before hosting Old Dominion and Marshall for a two-day event beginning on Friday, Oct. 30.

After of focusing on training, the Wildcats will travel to Gambier, Ohio, for a three-day event at Kenyon College, which features the University of Pennsylvania and Johns Hopkins Dec. 3-5.

Following a dual meet in Williamsburg, Va., against CAA foe William & Mary on Saturday, Jan. 16, the 'Cats will host Gardner-Webb, Liberty and Georgia Southern in their home finale, beginning on Friday, Jan. 22.

The final tune-up before the A-10 meet will take place at UNC Wilmington on Saturday, Jan. 30. Davidson will compete in the Atlantic 10 Championship for the second time, Feb. 17-20, in Geneva, Ohio.

"The team's energy throughout the season will be focused on the 2016 Atlantic 10 Championship," added Young. "Last year's team set a high bar, breaking a number of conference records and establishing an impressive presence at the meet, so we'll hope that this year's Wildcats are ready for the challenge that is building upon those performances."

The Wildcats are coming off an impressive inaugural season in the A-10 as the women placed fourth, while the men finished sixth at the conference championships. Elise Lankiewicz led the way as the rising-junior was named the 2015 A-10 Most Outstanding Performer on the women's side.

Both squads also return Olympic Trial Qualifiers as Luke Burton returns for the men and Katy Williams for the women.
