Former Washington State coach Paul Wulff to serve as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the national team at the IFAF World Championship tournament in Canton, Ohio, in July.

Former Washington offensive linemen James Atoe and Mike Criste have been selected to play for the U.S. Men’s National Team during the International Federation of American Football World Championship tournament in Canton, Ohio, July 9-18.

Former Washington State lineman Zack Williams has also been selected to the 45-man roster.

The linemen will be coached by Paul Wulff, the former Washington State head coach who will serve as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach for the national team.

Dan Hawkins, the former coach at Boise State and Colorado, is the national team’s head coach.

The International Federation of American Football World Championship, hosted by USA Football, which will brings together seven teams of adult players representing five continents for a 10-day tournament.

According to a USA Football news release, The International Olympic Committee granted the IFAF provisional recognition in December 2013. Provisional recognition is the initial step toward permanent IOC membership, which IFAF could attain as early as 2016. IFAF’s permanent IOC membership would make American football eligible for a future vote to become part of the Summer Olympics lineup.

All games will be played at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium and available via live stream on ESPN3. Matchups are July 9, 12 and 15 with consolation games and the medal round on Saturday, July 18. Kickoffs are noon, 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on July 9, 12, 15 and 18 to determine gold, silver and bronze medal winners.

In 2011, the United States defeated Canada, 50-7, for the gold medal in Vienna, Austria. The U.S. beat Japan, 23-20, in double overtime in Kawasaki, Japan, to win the 2007 tournament, the first that included a team from the United States.
