New to the area and my first Yelp event. Great way to start!
First, venue was awesome. Love the barn and the grounds are beautiful. I wish I had an event to plan because it would be a great spot.
Second, music was great. The Dancing Pigs were a nice touch. I'll definitely look for them to play again. I did have to explain a lot of the lyrics to my wonderful Japanese guest.
Third, vendors were amazing and generous. They answered questions and presented a wonderful taste. Great assortment of foods and drinks. I have a list of places to check out now that I haven't been to yet. City BBQ was delicious. Looking forward to going to Bogarts to use the free tickets.
Last, thank you Yelp for organizing a great event. Bravo! I was also pleasantly surprised the variety of attendees. Everyone was friendly and look forward to another event.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jessi C.Cincinnati, OH463622931Aug 25, 2015
All of my other non-Yelp friends were sooo jealous when I was describing Yelp's Farm Fresh Fete last Friday. I'm pretty sure this event alone has convinced everyone I know they need to start Yelping...Because they should!
Yelp events are always fun, and this one is no exception. There were hundreds of people there, so this event was by far the biggest one I've ever been to, but it still felt like a small party for all of your friends.
I only knew about half of the vendors there, so it was nice to meet some new businesses! Some of the vendors were better than others, because I think some are known for their groceries but not necessarily their prepared food. My favorite vendors were: City BBQ (that brisket doe!), Canteen Bakery (salted caramel cupcakes!), Moerlein and Mt Carmel (beer, obvi), Kind (surprisingly good coconut almond bars), American Honey (ummm...it's alcohol lemonade, and I loved it), and Bogart's (free concert tickets!). I also really enjoyed the talk about BBQ from the owner of City BBQ, but I wish it would have been more focused on learning how to cook the BBQ, or the recipes he uses.
The highlight of the evening for me, though, was when I got to meet Cindy's Mama! Cindy, you need to bring her to all of the events from now on. hahahaHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Magda C.Cincinnati, OH1425231852Aug 25, 2015
Fantastic event!
I loved the Centennial Barn, where the event took place, it fit perfectly. I also loved that part of the event was outdoor, with really cute stands of local businesses :)
So nice to get to know new people and learn about new products, new markets, and sample some of the delicious produce.
Every business taking part in the event went far and beyond with providing information and offering some much appreciated samples of super yummy stuff. Great preparation and impressive organization.
Chatting about honey making, fair trade coffee, microgreens, hand made gelato, pie making, cookie baking, vodka handmaking, beer brewing and smoking barbeque while meeting new people, that is what I love about YELP!
Yet another one of those great events and platforms for direct interaction between local businesses and customers. It's kind of special to meet face to face people who make cookies, juices etc. sold in so many local cafes.
Special thanks to Cindy and Yelp Team, but also to all local owners who came and shared their time and products. City Barbeque was really more than generous with big portions of corn&brisket, as well as caramel apples, lemonade and cute tote bags with their story inside :) Wow!
Last but not least: The Cincinnati Dancing pigs were a great fit for this event, great sounds, so many instruments and cool vibes :)
Had a wonderful time! :-) That was a real fete, indeed!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katie M.Bellevue, KY249182301Aug 21, 2015
Wow. Plenty of food. Plenty of drink. Plenty of amazing vendors.
ALL of the vendors were extremely welcoming and knowledge which is extremely rare at events this large (non yelp events that is). Cindy did an amazing job to reaching out to local businesses , a ton I was unfamiliar with, that I can't wait to support. I literally didn't meet one person who didn't want to interact and share some awesome facts about their product. Everyone was so passionate and cool to meet.
My one complaint would be I ate too much before I came! It was easy to get three meals here no problem! Gorgeous night, easy instructions to follow for check in, and fun band and venue!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cindy W.Cincinnati, OH4343853599Aug 22, 2015
What a blast! The Centennial Barn was a perfect place to usher in a late summer evening that felt like the first day of fall. Great job, Yelp! We loved the event, hands down.
I loved the entire theme of the evening, as it opened my eyes to several vendors in the Cincinnati area that I could buy locally from. I was also very impressed with City Barbecue! Their staff was very friendly and outgoing, and their food was delicious. The caramel apples and lemonade stand was the perfect touch to the evening.
The band got me in the mood for some country line dancing as the temperature cooled off. It felt like it was the perfect fall evening to spend outdoors with several great vendors of Cincinnati all on one campus. I would definitely look into this venue for future events, as I was overly impressed with the environment. Loved it!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Damian M.Cincinnati, OH50238756Aug 21, 2015First to Review

Fun, food and frivolity with farm fresh vendors, adult beverages and a corny jug band. Yelp did it up right!!
Kudos to Christian Moerlein and City Barbecue for their full size sample portions however every business there was shone off well with their more than generous and friendly representation. Everything was delicious and comfortable on what had to be the most perfect weather we could have ever asked for.
Great time!!!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Azlisya N.Burlington, KY875862Aug 21, 2015
Love all the food we tasted. Went with my +1(hubby.) and we loved it! We have city BBQ in Florence and never got a chance to try it, and today we tried to beef brisket! It is amazing, we even met the Florence Manager! Perfect and we are definitely going to the City BBQ tomorrow!
Tried variety of other local vendors that we haven't even heard it and they're good as well! From Wick's pies to peanut butter brown ale!!!
Great event and environment with live music! Great night! Keep it up! And we have gotten all business cards, definitely visiting them soon!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 22, 2015
Kudos again to Cindy for putting together a nice event at a truly under-the-radar venue.
Centennial Barn served as an excellent host for what turned out to be a fun little food and farm festival. There were lots of great vendors represented, but I have to give an extra shout out to Spicy Olive. I've never had anything from them before, but their spread was delicious. Of particular note were the truffles with strawberry basil vinaigrette. I also really enjoyed trying some of the oils and bread they provided.
The Jug Band, Corn Hole, and massive glowing orb were also nice touches. This was a great event catering to a large group.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 29, 2015
First time attending a Cincy Yelp event, and I left impressed.
The Centennial Barn provided the perfect setting. The barn itself was larger than I expected and the vendors were setup and spaced out inside in such away that you didn't feel cramped inside and flowed into the outside patio and lawn where you were greeted by a band that provided the tunes from a variety of instruments including a banjo, jug, and even a rubber chicken. And better yet, there were more vendors.
The different types of food offerings and goods provide a great introduction into the many local businesses within the Cincinnati area. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of gluten free offerings that were available. The make your own caramel apple provided by City BBQ was the highlight and most entertaining thing to try and eat without causing a mess. A popsicle stick + heavy apple + toppings + a clutz = disaster waiting to happen.
Thanks for Yelp Cincy for making me fell welcomed and providing fun night.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
