I've read the Arizona Vengeance in full and the Cold Fury series up to this book. While I mostly love the books, a few of the women have been very frustrating to read, and none moreso (so far) than Vale. I wanted to be sympathetic to her character, given what she went through, but it was like reading about a grown man chasing after a selfish, petulant teenager.

Hawke by Sawyer Bennett (Cold Fury Hockey #5) 5 out of 5 stars Love Sawyer Bennett! She never disappoints! Hawke's story was full of heartbreaking miscommunication and hurt feelings. It's hard to watch two people who should be together be torn apart by anger and a stubborn refusal to forgive, but it makes for a kickass romance novel. Hawke and Vale were high school sweethearts who were torn apart by tragedy and a sense of betrayal. Flash forward seven years and they finally have a second chance to make things right when they find themselves as part of the Cold Fury hockey team. Unfortunately, their miscommunication and residual anger may still threaten to tear them apart. It's an exciting rollercoaster of emotion that you will fully enjoy!

Every time I think I found my favorite Cold Fury player Sawyer Bennett delivers another incredible story and I fall in love all over again! This time we have Hawke's story. A new addition to the Fury roster but not one we will soon forget. Vale Campbell broke Hawke's heart when they were younger by breaking off their relationship without any reason why. Now she's back in his life as one of the team's physical therapists. They might both be determined to keep everything professional but wicked chemistry and too many unanswered questions lay between them for that to happen. This is one everyone needs on the top of the must read list! I highly recommend it.
