The opening game

Its football. Its not going to feel strange at all. New managers come to clubs and have first games.

Jesus. Pearson was a GREAT Leicester manager, thats not up for debate, he was fantastic.

Chanting "one Nigel Pearson" is a complete smack in the face to the new manager who might be a better manager if you give him chance, and a board that do have the clubs best interests at heart and have continually put their own money into the club to improve us.

And lets face it, if its 2-0 at half time and the football has been good, then there wont be many negative reactions.

not singing it in a protest way. But in a thank you way. If it was me I'd get a banner saying thanks for everything Nige too.

Well yes, thats different and i see your point of view.

However, its clear from reading this forum, that the new manager already has a handicap, and its not of his doing. He needs support. Most will give it to him too.

It's imperative whoever takes over gets a good start, the atmosphere is going to be strange,so he needs to win the fans over quickly

I imagine there will be a protest, I just hope it's not on a large scale.

The last thing we need is a bad feeling hovering around the place.

It's not the new manager I have issue with (well, that might change if it's a Redknapp or Dyche). It's the owners who've got me here. They have in my opinion put Leicester City Football Club second.

Can we all just f__cking move on from Pearson now. Yes he will be missed. Yes he did a good job. BUT HE IS GONE. People may not want to accept this but it is a fact. Move on and support the players, support the new manger (whoever he is), and the support the club.

How would it possibly affect anything positively by protesting or singing Pearson's name during the opening match (or at any point in the future).

Anybody suggesting this is a moron.

I have been excited for the new season ever since the QPR game, but that excitement has been completely zapped out of me. I've had a season ticket for 12 years, and only a week ago I remember thinking, we are in the best condition now as a club than we have ever been since I've been going. Just a week later I feel worried, I feel concerned, and as others have said, I feel cheated. I feel like years and years of hard work have been thrown down the drain. Is there any better way of putting it? Because that's seriously how I view the situation. I know Nige wasn't a saint and we don't know the full story, but he had put things in place for us to because very successful. I hope the owners prove me wrong and make an excellent appointment and we have a great season, but for now, and for the last 24 hours, I feel absolutely sick.
