Waves lapping against land is hands-down one of the most relaxing sounds on the planet (hey, there's a reason so many people listen to it as they drift off to sleep). But this "Sea Organ" in Zadar, Croatia takes those dreamy noises up a few notches. It's a nature-based instrument designed by Croatian architect Nikola Bašić and uses 35 organ pipes and Mother Nature's rush of water to make sweet, sweet music.
The organ sits along 230 feet of the Adriatic Sea coastline. Each step contains five pipes that are installed into the cement and produce completely different cords. Narrow channels connect them all, so as waves crash into the steps, the water pushes air through the pipes and creates a unique whistling sound.

Like what you heard? Well, since no wave is ever the same, those particular notes may never be heard in the same sequence again (which we kind of love). And apparently we're not alone: These stairs are a popular destination amongst both tourists and locals alike. Probably because, what's not to like about listening to tranquil music while watching the sun set over a huge body of water? Nothing, that's what.
