Devils Pride MC #2

Talk Dirty to Me

Rate this book
As a secret agent for the DEA, Snake’s gone deep into Devils Pride MC with the hope of bringing down the head of Miami’s lucrative drug trade and finds himself saddled with the club’s volatile and secretive SA instead. Unfortunately, after years as partners doing shit neither of them wanted to do for reasons neither of them felt comfortable sharing, Snake considers Trick his best friend. Now he’ll do anything to repair the damage his own necessary lies did to their friendship because, while Trick may have walked away from the MC, Snake needs someone he trusts to have his back.

Meanwhile, Snake’s contact at the DEA has him tied up in knots. The sexy voice and inappropriate comments have him walking around with a permanent set of blue balls. Life undercover is lonely and he lives for every phone call, but his own personal Deep Throat is skittish about committing to a date once Snake returns to headquarters. As far as Snake’s concerned, they only have one shot to build something together and he’s not willing to waste it.

Greg knows he’s not Snake’s type, or anyone’s for that matter. Former love interests called him plain, chubby, and boring. More comfortable in his tech cave than with people, he’s a grade A nerd who isn’t exactly GQ material. Normally he would never be brave enough to flirt with anyone—much less the very hot and very dangerous ginger who’d been starring in his nightly fantasies—but Snake needed something to keep him from getting lost undercover. What started out as a helping hand quickly became an integral part of their relationship—if one could call a five year phone conversation a relationship—and Greg is terrified that once Snake’s sees the wizard behind the curtain, he’ll lose the only man he’s ever loved.

Now the DEA has called Snake home to plan the next stage of the mission, leaving Greg no more places to hide. When fantasy and reality collide, will it be everything Snake hopes for or everything Greg fears? The trick will be staying alive long enough to figure out the answer.

Like many readers, the dream of being a writer has been with me a long time. After three decades of trying, I'd begun to doubt. Thanks to social media, I followed my favorite authors hoping to glean some words of wisdom as I pounded out half-formed ideas with alarming regularity. Two repetitive themes emerged: To be a great writer you must read a lot and your butt must be in the chair every day like it's a job. The more you write, the easier it will be to write and the better you will be at writing. I took that advice to heart and write every day. With three series in the works and counting, it's been amazing to have made this dream my reality.

I am a firm believer in marriage equality, love at first sight, power dynamics and happily ever after. I'm a lover of strong secondary characters and series filled with families, biological or chosen. All are themes you'll find throughout my books.

This book was sooo amazing, I am wondering why I didn’t read it sooner. Snake and Greg have a sweet and sizzling romance, so hot! But what took the most page space was the fight to bring down the drug cartel. From the hatching of the plan, going through continuous stages of brain storming and trying to crack the whole mystery element regarding the men in charge, to the ultimate execution of it was one thrilling ride.

It was enthralling to see the lone wolves of their fields — Greg and Gene (Snake) — get an acceptance into the Miami family, their painful stumbling and strong adaptation of the new norm. It is always wonderful to read when someone who thinks he is alone in the world suddenly finds himself amidst a wide and strong support structure.

It was fun to meet Carlos and Mateo, and I am now eagerly looking forward to their own HEA. An amazing series!

**** A complicated, exciting, crime drama, with hot lovin' and bikers, and more hot lovin'.
Snake/Gene is a 6'4" ginger, tattooed biker,

undercover agent working to bust a drugs and guns group.
Greg/Sunshine, is the super brainy nerd,

plain looking, curly haired tech specialist geek. Five years.

Snake has been five years in the Devil's Pride Motorcycle Club, and five years Snake and Greg have worked successfully together, and have had late night dirty talking, too. Greg and he have never met, but they have an online relationship that has been awesome. Wow. Now, they are going to meet, and Greg is terrified of rejection. He's an ordinary, curly haired nerd, and Snake is a big, bad, gorgeous biker. Plus, Snake/Gene is already "in love" with Greg and will not be swayed.
Their first meeting is funny, because Greg was trying too hard to be perfect, and it backfired. Gene doesn't care, he wants him, no matter what.

Gene thought... "This was the man who whispered dirty things to him in the darkest hours of night and he was voracious."

Well written, smooth flowing and with sizzling sexy times. The story has lots of players to keep track of in different MCs, a few plans, some gunfights and violence, confusion and trickery, plus a traitor to figure out.
Greg works out his insecurities, as Gene wants him, and he wants Gene.
They are perfect together, and it's romantic, suspenseful, action packed, sexy, and I liked it so much.
ENJOY !

It took a while for me to get invested into this story. Oh and it took a while to finish it too.

It's the second book in the Devil's Pride MC series and I haven't read the first one. So it got pretty hard to connect not only to the MC's but also with all the secondary characters. We don't get many details about their past adventures, so to say my head was spinning with too many names and references to things that happened in the first book... is a huge understatement.

What I liked about this book would be the hotness but also the suspense. There are some pretty interesting fights, motorcycle clubs rivalry. This book has a lot of action and the end is satisfactory.

I liked this book too. Am happy there’s no master/sub coz it made the story easier to understand. I liked that Greg is described as plain and possibly chubby compared to the usual hard-bodied M/M heroes. I liked that he still bagged the hot guy!! I also liked the side characters (Carlos and Matteo pretending to be lovers and I wanna read more about them!!)

Lordy the dirty talk in this one is explosive

Book two in the MC spin off from the Sizzling Miami series has Snake trying to root out traitors in the DEA as well as hunting down Durango's brother.

Helping in the fight is his handler, nicknamed the phone sex guy because of his sexy voice, and they've built up a powerful relationship during the five years he's been undercover.

I loved the dynamic between Snake/Gene and Greg, their phone sex is amongst the hottest I've read and they have a powerful emotional connection to each other.

The criminal element of this book is also well paced and ties up a lot of the leftover loose ends from the sister series. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens with the two MCs and with Carlos and Mateo hopefully.

~~ Series Review for a Series Blog Tour ~~

FULL DISCLOSURE: You should really read The Protector before embarking into this new series. I read all three books in this series without doing so and I wasn’t exactly lost, but it IS where you first meet Ty and Chase and their journey really begins, and me being OCD about this kind of thing makes me twitchy LOL (I would have started with Predator, but I had a deadline and couldn’t add a fourth book so …. Anywho, you’ve been advised :)

Tricking Chase: I wasn’t sure at first how much I would enjoy the story itself because I’m not your girl if the BDSM is really heavy in a book but this was a delicious D/s relationship. And not only do we get a very passionate journey, but there’s also an element of suspense I can’t give detail about because … why would you read the story if I told you everything? Lol
But back to the relationship…. The passion that these two had sometimes made me misty-eyed. They adored each other. Ty made for an exemplary Master and Chase was like a butterfly opening up and growing under the guidance of Ty. I don’t know what I expected, but this surpassed it. I read all three of these book in less than two days. I was hooked from the start.

Talk Dirty to Me: You guuuuuuuuuuuuys, the feeeels . It just continues to flow so easily from Tricking Chase! And don’t even get me started on the suspense/drama portion of this series. *blink*
Greg and Snake were ridiculous together. I really felt the love they held for one another thru the prose. And talk about HOT! HOLY HOTBALLS!

Tys That Bind: (THIS IS NOT A STANDALONE) *happy sigh* This was just ..... *happy sigh*

So let me recap these three books by telling you that Jessie G. has some serious talent. She will engage you and invest you in her stories. You will root for her characters and you will be so sucked into the world she creates that time will pass with a fleeting thought from you. I read for hoooooours at a time without blinking or thinking twice about it. Her characters have depth and emotion and will grow through not only their own books but through the series as well. They are a family from beginning to end. I’ve already added the entire Sizzling Miami series to my kindle!

Copies of all three books were provided for blog tour review

I'm not sure any Devils Pride book is going to be better than Tricking Chase was for me. Bull and Red actually fell to second place when I read that. This was good and I enjoyed seeing Greg and Snake/Gene finally meet. Even if it wasn't ideal! I appreciated that Greg's character wasn't all muscles and abs, and that Snake was able to fall for him by getting to know him first. That said, I don't feel like I got enough of them being together and as a couple. There was a little too much telling about their connection and not showing. It was mostly confined to the end of the story.

The first 50% or so was rather confusing to me. The majority of that was all meetings with the various groups. There was the DEA and Greg and Snakes boss discussing stuff. Then Snake and the Devils MC. Next, Snake, Ty and Ric, and the Devils MC and the Wizards MC. Then the whole group at Ric's building. I had a hard time figuring out what was going on with all the back and forth. It was also a bit strange when a couple of other POV's were mixed in, besides Greg and Snake. That, however, is probably more my fault than the story's, but it was still a long stretch before any action started.

One big niggle for me: In Tricking Chase, Ty says that he stepped in when Snake needed a sponsor. In this book, it says Junior is the sponsor. Seems like kind of a big error.

The last half of the book picked up on the action a lot more, where they were moving in on Santos network. There was a pretty good twist thrown in, too. I also lost track of who Dax and Sid are. It'll be interesting to see what happens to the MC now, and to Carlos and Mateo. I'd say the story arc that started with Davin and Ric is over with this book. I think we'll see more of everyone at points in other stories from what I've seen from the author. So, a good addition to the series and Jessie G will remain an auto-buy author for me.

4.5 stars

I find myself enjoying this Book 2 more than Tricking Chase, simply because I already knew all the players involved and the story arc was continued from the previous book. Thus, is easier to understand what is going on.

Snake is the undercover DEA that we got to know in Tricking Chase and his relationship with his handler, the 'phone sex operator' named Greg is swoon worthy. They have been communicating via the phone for five long years without meeting each other. They forged an undeniably strong bond and their phone sex is to die for. In Snake's mind, their relationship is as real as can be and he can't wait to meet the man behind the sexy voice.

Greg is a nerdy brainiac who is an introvert with a less than amazing body. He seems to be very self conscious about his appearance until he nearly had a panic attack when he had to meet Snake for the first time. The scene is hilarious and I totally adore Greg for his quirkiness.

Their relationship is the highlight of the book for me and it was being explored well during the first half. However, I miss Snake and Greg during the second half of the book. They are both force to separate with Snake going back to the lion's den. Snake and the MC are working together to bring down a certain mob boss and trying to flush out the traitors. Although I like the inclusion of Ty, Chase and Alaric, I really need more Snake and Greg's alone time. On a side note, I find myself warming up to all these supporting characters and wanting to read their stories, especially Alaric and the new possibility, Mateo and Carlos.

I loved this book! I officially am a follower of Jessie G and her books! I went into Talk Dirty to Me with lots of excitement. I figured if it was as well written, gripping, gritty and exciting as book 1, then I had yet another winner to add to my read list. I LOVED IT!!!! The characters, the banter, the phone sex...O.M.G. Hawt, Hawt, Hawt. The fact that we get to read about Trick and Chase was awesome as well. I love books that have characters from previous books in the series that play a part of the story. Winner, Winner!!!

Gene "Snake" has been buried deep in the Devils Pride MC for the past five years. We got to meet his character in Tricking Chase. Now we get to read his story. His only lifeline to the outside world has been the geeky tech guy in the DEA office that he has been sharing intimate phone conversations with. Working to bring down a drug lord has kept Snake buried in a world that is not like the reality that others live. The only thing left grounding him is his conversations with Greg. Someone he has grown very close to, they have developed this intimate relationship over the span of five years. Now, Snake is being pulled out of his deep cover and finds himself meeting the man who makes him come undone, will the connection that they developed be just as strong in person or will Snake be left frustrated and hurt that the man he knew through the phone does not match the man that he meets in person?

Greg has never really been boyfriend or relationship material. He isn't your typical sexy, rugged, good looking guy. He spends his days working on computers and it a geek through and through. When he starts to take Snake's calls, they begin to develop a relationship, one that spans several years and we get to see how it develops. I loved that it wasn't the typical way a relationship starts and that Greg was an average everyday guy. He was a little insecure with himself, and I loved that Sake saw past all that. The angst and feels that this story created was awesome. I think I loved this book more than the first.

Grab your copy of Talk Dirty to Me, you will literally need a change of panties with this one. Hold on for a wild, gripping, sexy as sin ride as Greg and Snake get their chance at happiness. Throw in past characters, crazy banter and protective, tatted, alpha's and you have an amazing story that will have you wanting more.

5 This one gave me the Feels Stars!

I couldn't resist reading this book based on the synopsis, despite the fact that I gave up on book 1 of this series. This book was easier to follow then book 1. I absolutely adored the MCs. The cast of characters were pretty cool also. I just wish this book was more hearth and home them crime drama.

After reading Tricking Chase and absolutely loving it, I was really excited to get started on Talk Dirty to Me. And whoo boy, it sure did not disappoint! I had blinders on to everything else around me as I totally fell into this story, and did not want to put the book down-staying up way too far past my bedtime to finish in one sitting. Be sure to read this series in order-if you don't, you'll probably be lost as events build on things that happened in the previous book.

I loved the characters. Many I was already acquainted with from Tricking Chase, and just as in that story, here they continued to be complex characters with a LOT of depth. They all work so well together, playing off each other and really coming across as a big, unconventional family. I actually identified with Greg and his insecurities about how he looks, and could empathize with him. He was sweet, yet quick to stand up for himself-he's not one you'd expect to be submissive at all once he opens up his mouth. We didn't see much of him in the first book, and here in Talk Dirty to Me he really shines. For Snake (aka Gene), we did get to see him often in Tricking Chase where his character comes across as a bit rough. Here we get to see his rough side but also his softer side with Greg, and also his protective nature. The two of them create sparks together, and not just in the bedroom.

There's a ton of suspense with the ongoing Durango/Santos storyline. The writing is just as excellent as it was in book one, flowing so easily that it pulled me in immediately and just did not let go. A lot of that has to do with the characters and how well they interact with each other...I cannot express enough how much I love the characters of this series. I'm not normally a big MC romance fan, but with the characters, plot and writing in this series, I am really enjoying the genre for the first time.

Talk Dirty to Me was another 5-star read, and this series has become a top recommendation for me. I can't wait for more, and since I hadn't read anything else by this author before starting the series, I'm now going back to read everything else on Jessie G's backlist (I've just got to hear the stories for all the characters appearing in The Devils Pride series from the rest of her books!). Fans of M/M romance will definitely want Talk Dirty to Me in their library, and honestly I don't think it will matter if you're an MC romance fan or not. What really shines here are the characters and their complex relationships with each other-which are extremely well written and quite intriguing. This is strictly for those 18+ due to adult language and explicit M/M sexual content-which is absolutely searing-you're going to love the dirty talk!

"Never doubt that you're mine." An animal, wild and feral, gazed down at him possessively. "My dirty little genius, my sunshine, my lover."
"Yours."

5 +++++ Stars. Another fantastic book from this brilliant author. This series and The sizzling miami series have created some of my favourite couples of all time.
Only something truly spectacular will be able to bump Bull and Red from being my fave couple ever but Greg and Snake are amazing together. Really enjoyed this. Hoping the next book is about Mateo and Carlos.

I loved this tale cover to cover. This is a new author for me and I enjoyed my first read by them and the series that followed. Omg I loved Snake and Greg.

This is the second installment is about Snake completing his undercover mission and also finally cementing his relationship that he has been having with Greg for several years over the phone who, also happens to be his handler. Snake communicates with Greg all about his undercover activity and the progress their making toward their collar. Omg they were hot a hell together over the phone together but in person they are explosive.

They made a cute couple.Greg the shy nerdy type and Snake the tall dark and dangerous type but the two fit perfectly together like a lock and key.

I loved everything about Snake from the previous story as you can't help but be drawn to him for all those things that make up his compelling persona.Loved his character from the very beginning.Greg however was my favorite character in this relationship. He was just to sweet you could not help but love him .Greg has all the insecurities that go with being in a relationship with someone like Snake.Greg will never be the type that is tall dark and delicious like Snake is.Greg feels he is plain not unattractive but will never have the body Snake has and will always be slightly over weight and also be a little bit nerdy no matter how intelligent he is.Greg just broke my heart he was such a terrific guy who is already in love with Snake. He worried for so long that when Snake and he finally come together in person it would be over right then in there.Greg just couldn't imagine Snake wanting him looking as he does. This is why I loved him so much he was so sensitive and learns quickly that Snake loves a person for all the unique qualities that make up his character not on how attractive your are on the outside.

Snake and Greg attraction was intense and explosive and their sexual encounters were hot as hell. One of the things that I loved about Snake is that he gave Greg the confidence he needed to be comfortable in his own skin.I loved that he made Greg feel safe and loved something he had never felt before.Made him feel whole.

This tale was full of danger ,suspense, was full of surprises ,romance, secrets coming to life with a touching love story all wrapped up into another compelling read that kept you engaged from the onset. Finished it in one sitting.Chase and Ty also played yet another important part settling old debts along with making making current relationships stronger .I loved them as well as we saw how their love for one another had grown even stronger.

The other characters play a part in the outcome of this story as well. They where such a eclectic group that you could not help but love them as well.

Recommend read to all !
Another keeper filled with a great cast of characters.

If I thought book one sucked me in I was not even prepared for book two! I stayed up wayyy past my bedtime to finish this one but you won’t be able to put it down once you start! I was SO stoked to find out that book 2 is Snake and Greg’s story and was definitely not disappointed! I would not recommend reading this as a stand-alone – read book 1 first!

Snake has been deep undercover within the Devils Price MC for a long while now and considers Trick (Ty) his only true friend. Except after allowing Chase to get hurt in Tricking Chase Ty hasn’t been quick to forgive and Snake is doing what he can to convince him he’s worth forgiving. On the other side of the spectrum Snake is also trying to get past the fact that he can’t stop thinking about his sexy (voiced) handler for the DEA – Greg. Greg is very insecure about his appearance and personality – so much so that he doesn’t believe he’s ever going to have a chance with Snake but Snake isn’t going to allow things to go down like that and does a fantastic job of building up his confidence once the two meet in person.

I love that Greg is such a relatable character – what person doesn’t know what it’s like to feel insecure? We all do at times and I love the way Snake handles him. One of my favorite parts of this book is the glimpses we get of the characters from book 1! I can’t wait to see where we go with book 3!

Seeing as this author has the characters and plots on going, you should read previous books, and I'm not talking about just the first book in this series, because that won't help, you need to go back to the beginning, and that way you know who everyone is and what not.

Snake/Gene has been undercover for years, his one constant is his nightly phone call to check in with Greg. Greg, a sassy talking agent, lives for these phone calls. Once they were quite innocent and over time they became more and the calls became more dirty. Both live for these conversations, but for Greg they are sort of a safety net as then Snake doesn't need to see him. When the two finally get the chance to meet, Greg is two seconds away from canceling, what he doesn't realize is that Snake is also nervous and unsure of how Greg feels. Can the two find a way to make this work, while at the same time battling the war against drugs?

Greg and Snake were so cute, I actually wanted more of them, wanted their first foray into dirty conversation, when did they break that boundary? I wanted more of that side of the story, don't get me wrong what we got is all after that fact and it's not bad, I just wanted the beginning. There is some drama, sexy times and a bit of violence, I give this 4 stars.

OMG how hot was this book!! The follow on from Tricking Chase left me all hot and bothered... I could not put it down. Greg was an absolute treasure of a character, it was so clever of Jessie to have Greg as a normal guy with very real body issues it was so endearing. Especially when all Snake wanted to do was devour him. The chemistry between all the characters was crazy intense especially when the two MC's paired up to work together to fight the bad guys! The story line was easy to follow and you are kept on the edge of your seat trying to figure out who the villain is behind all the drug dealing/gun running and human trafficking. This was an MC book with a definite dark edge to it.. can't recommend highly enough everyone this is a must read series!

This was such a brilliant story, we finally got to meet Greg and Gene (Snake) who we met in Tricking Chase. We also got to see the other characters from first book. We finally got to see how Gene and Greg interact together, and if they ever take their relationship further than colleagues.

I loved them both, they want to do good for people even if they have to sacrifice themselves or use a lot resources. They are great together, and it was fun to watch their interaction but also to see how the other characters were doing.

I recommend reading Tricking Chase first so you understand what is happening in this series. I can't wait for more. WTMO

Eminently satisfying

Getting to see Snake and Greg finally meet and realize that they have long since fallen in love with one another was delightful. I loved that their love was never a question in either's mind.

The one thing that I found to be a bit distracting was how incredibly complicated the true villian's plans were, but (at the same time) how easily our team of heroes were able to understand it and unravel it.

The absolute BEST part of this book had to have been the phone sex! While Gene is deep undercover, he is also carrying on a kind of relationship with his partner, Greg, even though they spent most of the book apart. That makes the moments that they are actually together even sweeter. I loved Greg. He was sweet and geeky and a little overweight, my kind of man!! lol And Gene loved him for who he was. The entire book was enjoyable and I was on the edge of my seat the entire time.

Great

I was anxious to read this as soon as I finished book one. I was not disappointed. I really enjoy the character of Greg. He's super smart, Sassy, and funny. I love the chemistry that Greg and Gene have together as well, the slow build up and trust they share.
The Continuing storyline of the main players trying to bring down the bad guys was a nice way to tie the books together.

Snake and Greg. This book revolves around the suspense portion of the story. While Snake and Greg make a good couple, their relationship lacks the depth and spark that the others have. Skimmed most of this as this one seems even wordier than previous books. And really, Carlos and Mateo steal the show.
