The Orleans Parish School Board met Tuesday (March 15) to consider a plan that gives its schools more money for disadvantaged students and cuts funding for gifted students.
Mailyn Sorto of Clark Prep testified in Spanish to her school's need for more resources. Pearlie Leaf, of Lusher Charter, translated her friend's remarks and then added her own thoughts. Lusher loses money under the plan.
