CPHHS researchers study health effects from arsenic exposure in Bangladesh

Two college researchers, Assistant Professor Molly Kile and PhD student Andres Cardenas, packed their bags and set off for a trip to Bangladesh, where they are beginning a new study to determine how exposure to arsenic affects the development and immune function in children.

A CPHHS teacher is being hailed as a hero by the family of a 4-year-old boy whose life she saved. CPHHS’ Child Development Center Assistant Teacher Chantel Fairbanks recently jumped into action when she noticed a student was choking during their morning lunch break.

OSU SHE team wins first place at Oregon Society of Healthcare Executives' student bowl

Three CPHHS MPH students took home a first-place title and $1,500 after winning the Oregon Society of Healthcare Executives’ student bowl – a case competition among Pacific Northwest colleges.

New seminar series connects timely research with state policymakers

The theme of the first Oregon Family Impact Seminar sponsored by the Hallie E. Ford Center for Healthy Children and Families and OSU Extension Service Family and Community Health included education, employment and parenting skills - key components of a two-generation approach to poverty.
