You may want to consider downloading this app if you’re assisting a loved one experiencing memory loss. The app offers users information about Alzheimer’s at the push of a button. It also lets caregivers organize prescriptions and log symptoms for doctors visits. The app has a news feature that keeps users up to date about media stories involving the illness. These two apps were developed by the same Elder care service, and both are geared toward caregivers looking for tips and advice. According to AgingCare.com, Elder 411 contains general information on the best practices for caring for an aging family member, with special series focusing on thing like communication, safety and finances. Elder 911 is designed to get the user through an emergency situation. When you open it, the apps lets you choose your relationship to the elderly patient in question and how far along your loved one is in the different stages of emergency – whether the event just occurred or they’ve been progressively getting worse. The program then leads you to pages full of helpful advice that can tell you how to handle the situation.
