As Jax and Rachel start their lives together, finally engaged and living in Los Angeles, all seems right with the world until Chloe wants to enter their lives again. She wants to be closer to her son, Jace, and in order to keep the peace, Jax agrees. Unfortunately, trouble seems to be swirling in the air when Rachel's high school crush enters their lives; meanwhile Chloe proclaims to be pregnant. Rachel is left questioning whether Jax is the one she wants to live happily ever after with, while they are left pondering who could be the father of Chloe's baby. Could their relationship be strong enough to surpass these obstacles or will this mean the end of Jax and Rachel's love.

Something Precious by M. Clarke is a continuation of Jax and Rachel's story from Something Amazing. The bittersweet of what happens after the happily ever after when real life begins. Jax and Rachel are three months away from their wedding, Jace is happy as a clam (or a ninja turtle) and things are going great. Then Jace's mom/Jax's ex-wife Chloe pops back up in the picture attempting to be a "mom" to their son all the while scheming to get Jax back. The Rachel goes to New York Fashion Week to work and runs into her high school crush who is now a hot model and he is pursuing her. If the universe tried any harder to make things near to impossible for Jax and Rachel it would probably implode. The great thing about stories like this is seeing the struggle, the realization, and the ultimate correcting of behavior that enable such wonderful characters to work through their issues and come out the other end even better than before.
