Your Stay at Caboolture Private Hospital

We have a range of accommodation including:

• Single rooms with shower and toilet facilities
• 2 bed rooms with shared shower and toilet facilities

All of our accommodation is classified as private and it is our aim to accommodate you as comfortably as possible. Single room allocation is based on clinical need as determined by the Clinical Nurse Manager and/or your doctor in each area.

Caboolture Hospital is undergoing a major expansion and redevelopment, and this will have some impact on the access and carparking for patients and visitors to Caboolture Private Hospital. Read more here >>

We can arrange for ministers of religion to visit at your request. Please ask the staff if you require assistance.

Whilst we do not have a coffee shop inside our Hospital we do have a patients and visitors lounge with free tea and coffee and hot chocolate available

We also have a vending machine in our front foyer available for cold drinks and snacks.

There is a coffee van located outside the Private Hospital, this also has various food items available for purchasing.

A cafe is located on the ground floor of the Caboolture Public Hospital (next door). Hot snacks, sandwiches, beverages, magazines, papers and flowers/gifts are available.

We accept Eftpos and most credit cards at Caboolture however we do not accept American Express or Diners Club cards.

All appliances must be checked by the Hospital electrician prior to being used due to workplace health and safety regulations and to ensure patient safety. Please advise staff if you have a razor or hair dryer or other piece of equipment you wish to have checked.

You are more than welcome to organise or ask your family members to organise this service for you. Please check with nursing staff for the best time of the day for this to be arranged.

The Hospital does not provide a personal laundry service. Please make your own arrangements with the help of family and friends.

Patients can send and receive mail and faxes. Mail delivered after your discharge will be forwarded to your home address.

We offer a range of delicious and healthy meals. Special dietary requirement meals are catered for on request and a dietitian is available for consultation when required.

When you are admitted please ask our staff if mobiles can be used in your room. Mobiles may be used in all public areas. Caboolture Private Hospital does not accept any responsibility for loss or damage to your mobile phone.

The local paper is delivered daily to the Hospital and is also available to read via a QR code on display in your room.

A pharmacy dispensing service is provided to in-patients and day patients. Discharge medications are also arranged and provided through this service at your own cost and payable when you discharge at front reception.

We currently do not offer retail pharmacy onsite.

Smoking is not permitted within the Hospital or within the entire Private and Public Hospital campus. Read more about Smoke Free Campus.

There is a telephone beside every bed for local, STD and mobile calls. ISD calls can be arranged via reception.

There is a television in each room, including Foxtel channels.

We recommend that valuables are left at home. Whilst we will try to ensure that all patients possessions are safe and secure we can not accept liability for any loss of patient items during a hospital stay.

The Hospital has a Veterans’ Liaison Officer/Care Coordinator (VLO), who is cognisant of the needs of older people and in particular the needs of Entitled Persons. The VLO coordinates with hospital treatment providers to enhance the treatment and service provided to Entitled Persons and acts as a single point of contact for DVA clients, their families and carers, ExService Organisations and DVA with particular regard to resolution of concerns and problems.
