American Airlines Trick-or-Treats for UNICEF on its 65th Anniversary

For the seventh consecutive year, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF takes flight on American Airlines through UNICEF’s Change for Good Program

As you have probably seen, the original “kids helping kids” campaign, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, is celebrating its 65th anniversary. This year it’s joining forces with our entertainment partner The Peanuts Movie, which is also turning 65, to bring awareness and raise funds for UNICEF programs worldwide.

As our Promotional Supporter for the campaign, American Airlines will Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF through the friendly skies for the seventh consecutive year from October 18th through the 31st.  Flight attendant volunteers known as Champions for Children will make a Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF-themed announcement and collect donations of foreign and domestic currency from customers in the classic orange Trick-or-Treat boxes on select international flights. In addition, American Airlines will host a family-friendly event for employees on October 29th to contribute to their overall fundraising efforts to support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF at their headquarters in Dallas-Fort Worth.

Change for Good is an innovative partnership between UNICEF and the international airline industry which converts travelers’ currency donations into life-saving services for the world’s children. Coin by coin, note by note, these donations add up to make a huge difference in the life of a child in need.

Thank you for Trick-or-Treating for UNICEF this Halloween through Change for Good on American Airlines if you’re traveling internationally now through Halloween.  Throughout the rest of the year, you can also donate your spare coins and notes on select international American Airlines flights to support Change for Good.
