PORTLAND — The School Board on Dec. 8 sent the City Council about $1.3 million in locally funded projects for the redevelopment of the aging Fred P. Hall Elementary School.
The vote was 8-1, with board member Sarah Thompson in the minority.
The bulk of the proposal, roughly $875,000, is for a larger gymnasium and cafeteria. Other projects include safety improvements, upgrade athletic fields, repaving the school road, and making the building more energy efficient.
The City Council is expected to have a first reading of the list at its Jan. 4, 2016, meeting.
