Men Of Laguna #1

No Pants Required

I, Makayla Alexander, am on a mission to reinvent myself. So when a super hot guy boards the plane and flashes his rock hard abs, I pay attention. When he sits next to me and offers me his nuts, I can’t resist. But when I choke on them and he tells me I need to work on my gag reflex, I realize I might be in over my head.

Before I know it we’re in the lavatory and attempting to join the Mile High Club. Let me just say this...anyone who tells you it’s easy to get it on at 37,000 feet isn’t telling you the truth. After the flight attendant busts us for getting frisky in the air, the only thing that can ease my total and complete mortification is the simple fact that I am never going to see him again.

Hours later, I can’t help but wonder if fate will ever allow me to become a new version of myself.

Because Fate, she’s a fickle bitch.

Case in point...my seatmate is my new next-door neighbor.

Even with the whole fate thing we have going on, we are so not meant to be together. He’s all cool and sexy in that make love not war kind of way. Guys like him are dangerous. With that bring-you-to-your-knees body, that handsome-as-hell face, and that dirty, dirty mouth, I guarantee one glance from him wets every girl's bikini bottoms.

And then there’s me…the quirky girl looking to find herself in California. All I want to do is learn to let loose. Say words like peace and groovy. Bury my toes in the sand. Who knows, maybe even have sex on the beach.

Unable to get him out of my head, I entertain the thought of being more than just friends. I know the idea is absurd. And yet, I go with it. You see Camden Waters gets me. Really gets me. Like no other guy has before.

On this 7-mile stretch of paradise, I decide to keep things simple and just have fun...that is until fate decides to screw with me, again.

Can two people hell-bent on finding themselves realize the search should have ended the day they met? Find out in No Pants Required—a sexy, funny, romantic stand-alone, that will have you hurrying to grab your bathing suit and rushing to the beach to check out every lifeguard on duty.

“Say, ‘Camden Waters is a sex god.’”

Camden Waters IS a sex god.

I fell in love with this book!

Makayla is a jewelry designer in New York, who has broken up with her fiancé and needs a new start. Her best friend Maggie invites her out to California, to live on the beach and figure out the next phase in her life. Maggie sends uptight Makayla a list of ten things to do to get her old self back—from nude selfies to joining the mile-high club. Makayla agrees to do it.

So I don’t want to give away too much, but from a teaser you’ll know that Cam and Makayla are seatmates on the plane. Mile-high club, anyone?

Cam. Oh, my. He’s delicious. I can’t even write this review without salivating. BRB.

“I said I don’t dance; it doesn’t mean I don’t know how.” (I love guys who dance.)

“Hey, I’m just asking because I can’t figure out why any guy would want anyone else when he had you.”

And his tongue “should be illegal.”

Okay, I’m back.

No Pants Required is the perfect vacation read. It’s oh-so-sexy and fun, with deeper points about love and loss—and figuring out what you want and need in life. Let Cam and Makayla take you to the sunny beaches of California, where not just the sand is scorching.

You don't love someone and set him free to see if he comes back to you. You hold on tight and never let go."

If you're looking for a perfect beach read to spend an afternoon with, look no further than this book! No Pants Required was full of quirky humor and heavy steam. It's a light, feel-good sort of romance that will leave you with a smile on your face.. and at times uncomfortably aroused. Because let's be honest here, people, Camden Walters is one deliciously sinful dirty talker and if you're not uncomfortably aroused through parts of this book, I'd say there may be something broken with your downstairs regions. Uhem.

I read this practically in one sitting because it reads very quickly. The chemistry between the two MCs is instant and only burns hotter with each page. I loved Makayla's quirkiness. When she sets out to put a check mark on her "to-do" list, she doesn't expect that the stranger she set out to check off her mile high club membership will be none other than her brand new neighbor.

Camden "Cam" Walters left behind the hustle and bustle of New York City to spend his days as a life guard. But there's so much more to his character too. I absolutely loved the two of them together. They're the perfect balance to each other and I loved watching Makayla really come into her own become less stiff. Both Cam and Makayla had their share of hurts from a previous relationship that rolled into their present, but somehow they seemed to bring out the best in each other.

The story is light on the angst and heavy on the steam. At times I almost thought it was too much steam, but then I'd slap myself and remind myself there can't be too much steam when it comes to anything Cam Walters.

There were a few parts of the story that I had wished were more developed; especially Cam and his father. I also got a little restless in the last 30% of the book because it felt a bit stretched out at times. As always with any book I've read by Kim Karr, I loved all the secondary characters. I'd love to get a book for Maggie and Brooklyn. I really clicked with them in the story and devoured any tidbits about them.

Aside from a very few minor quibbles, I enjoyed this thoroughly. It was exactly what I was in the mood for this Saturday afternoon and it hit the spot just right. I definitely wouldn't say no to more books like this from Kim! A great, feel-good, steamy beach read!

3.5 'Book Club' Stars!
photo No Pants Required - Kim Karr_zpssfgxzxxx.png

Let me just start by saying that I had pretty high expectations on this book because I loved Kim Karr's Toxic. I was expecting a sexy, light, perfect for the summer read. And it kind of reached those expectations but not in the way I wanted, I suppose.

No Pants Required is a stand-alone novel that tells the story of Makayla Alexander, a good woman who says she has a boring life and wants to change that by moving from New York to sunny California) and Camden Waters (the super-hot and mysterious lifeguard that Makayla "met" in a very interesting situation and a man who does not expect to feel the way he feels when he starts spending time with his new neighbor).

“You’re a good girl—what are you doing in here with me?” he whispers, and the feel of his warm breath against my face sends shivers down my spine.
“Who said I’m a good girl?”
“Me,” he whispers.

I can definitely assure one thing about No Pants Required: it is SO HOT. You want a book full of off-the-charts sex? Check. A book with a dirty, dirty boy? Check. A book with summer vibes and that will leave you satisfied at the end? Check, check, check! This novel has all those good aspects. Makayla and Cam have a great and sexy chemistry, especially on the sex department! And have I mentioned these two have quite the tradition with a book called Summer's Menage? Yep.

“So here’s how this going to go. First, I’m going to taste your sweet pussy and eat you like you are my last meal, and then I’m going to fuck you like you’ve never been fucked.”

“I’m seeing stars.”
“That was me, baby. All me.”
She flips around and smooths her dress, then runs a hand up my chest. “When you’re inside me I see more than just stars, I see planets and comets and the moon.”

It seems pretty clear, right? Cam is, definitely, a talented dirty talker ;) However, I have to say there was more drama than I expected on this! Not that I mind it but I don't know, this was not what I expected! Also, Makayla and Cam take quite a while to start being together TOGETHER and I obviously wanted more of them! Moreover, I did not feel much connected to both of them until almost the end of the book. Something just felt off for me. Still, it was a good summer read to pass the time!

“Makayla,” he says, “we’ve been seatmates, frenemies, book club partners, friends, teacher/student, and lovers, but I was hoping right now you could just be mine.”

You don’t love someone and set him free to see if he comes back to you.
You hold on tight and never let go.
And that’s just what I intend to do.

Therefore, my rating for No Pants Required is 3.5 STARS because I found it to be a good read with the perfect summer vibe in it! And with an extremely sexy lifeguard hero, who complains about that, right? But, as I said, for me it missed having more moments with the couple and more chemistry outside the bedroom! Still, if you want to read a book with less drama that will leave you feeling all good, check this one out!

I really enjoyed No Pants Required! It's funny, sexy, hot, steamy and refreshing!!It's perfect for the Summer vacations.Pick this book and go to the beach and you'll immediately feel like you are a part of the story! Two very different people end up being perfect for each other! Both need each other to find what they really want from their lives.

I loved Cam's dirty mouth! He is cocky, a smartass and super hot! Makayla wasn't very confident in the beginning but one moment in a plane with a stranger will change everything! But both together were so refreshing, awkward and funny to me!

"Not only do you have a dirty mind, but you're awful bossy, you know that?"
"Bossy, no.In charge, yes."

I have read many books by Kim Karr and I can honestly say this was a totally different from her other books and I liked it a lot! Pick this one for your vacation, you are going to love it!

" For what I have in mind, there are no pants required".

Makayla Alexander has always been the good girl. Having a great career, and loving friends, she feels that she's too uptight and she wants to make a change. Deciding to leave New York and move to Laguna Beach with her best friend, Makayla is on track to being a free spirit and finally letting her hair down. But little does she know that the club detour that she took, is going to reunite her with the very hands on and charming Cam Waters.

Cam Waters has had it with his New York lifestyle. Needing to make a change and get from under his father . influence, he makes the move to Laguna Beach. Not joining the family company and being a lifeguard is not what his father had planned for his future. But Cam doesn't care. He wants to do what is best for CAM and if it means pissing off his dad even more, then so be it. Sitting next to the gorgeous brunette on the airplane made his trip better but tryng to join the "Mile High Club"? That is one flight he would never forget.

Two strangers.

Same destination.

One hot Summer.

I found Cam and Makayla's relationship very different but in a good way. These were two people who were trying to figure out who they were and at the same time, taking that leap of faith on each other to build a relationship. They were hesitant but respectful of each other's feelings and I really liked that they supported one another. But with a new found love comes the ever present drama that no matter how hard they try, the past can't be escaped.

Will this Summer hookup turn out be the best thing that's ever happened to Cam and Makayla?

Or will they burn like the summer heat?

If you love a hot, steamy read some instalust, then this one is for you.

Perfect summer romance, steamy, funny and so cute!

After a tough breakup Makayla decides to leave NYC and moves to her best friend in Laguna Beach, California. She wants to find herself again and prove to yourself that she is not uptight b*tch like her ex claims. She says goodbye to her friends from the city at the party. And this is where the story begins and when start the most bizarre situations in which she will find herself this summer.

“New start.
New life.
New me.
California, here I come.”

During her trip after new life and encouragement she decides to loosen up, take advice and complete a list prepared by her friend. One of the points is to join the Mile High Club. Fate would have it the seat next to her on the plane take the handsome, charming men.

Cam also has a difficult time behind him. He moved out of NYC, and is trying to put his life anew. Employed as a lifeguard on the beaches of California and returns there after a short visit in the city. He spends a good time with a girl on the plane. She intrigued him, but before he even plans to ask for her number she escapes from the airport.

But fate has its own plans, and the two will meet again... as neighbors. Is good girl goes on the wrong side or maybe bad boy finds what he so afraid to find? We will certainly have lots of fun before we find out.

“I want her again and I haven’t even had her yet.
She’s that addicting.”

Final thoughts: This is the perfect book for summer time. It is funny, light and easy to read with a small dose of angsty but nothing too heavy. Full of humor, full of passion. Just sun, beach, hot lifeguard, a lot of laughs, romantic and smoking hot scenes.

The main heroine is excellent. Cute and a little awkward. Can be a real b*tch but also in the same moment can be a blushing girl. She always finds herself in the most ridiculous situations and it makes that the reading is really a blockbuster. I also adore a charming Cam. He is a very, very bad boy with a dirty mouth. The chemistry between them is off the charts, and their interactions are adorable. It's their wit and easy banter what provide a lot of funny scenes and dialogues. I laughed more than once.

It has sensational opening scenes. Already their first meeting in the air is explosive. One of the coolest things is the Book Club and whisper reading a romance with the relevant parts of the book. You can guess how they ended up while reading erotic menage. Always no less hot and steamy scenes between them, not only in the bed!

Their relationship is growing gradually and emotions arise after some time. You will not find here very complex topics, although there are some secrets that are revealed slowly. It hooked me hard into reading at the beginning, and so it was almost to the end. Perhaps too quickly everything is solved, but it's summer reading, not some hard stuff.

Makayla and Cam make a wonderful couple. You can feel the affection between them. The place where the story happens definitely adds a lot of beautiful atmosphere of the beach, sun and the holidays. It can make you dreamy. It definitely carried me away. There are also funny secondary characters, about who I would gladly read a book.

Light, flirty and sassy. If I'd have recommend the books for someone to the beach it definitely would be this steamy beach romance.

Makayla is bored with her New York life.
Well, it's more like her ex-fiancé was probably bored with her - but that's only a guess on her part, because she found him ... well - not telling you that ☺
But now that she's thinking about things, maybe she should change her life a bit. Maybe just try to live a different life for a while. Find herself and all that crap. She hates her boss, she hates being single and alone. Maybe trying a carefree life in California doesn't sound all that bad.

Off she goes. To live with her bestie Maggie in her Laguna Beach beach-house!

Maggie knows how much Makayla loves order and rules and she gives her a list of ten things to do while starting her new life. Things like have sex with a stranger, have sex on a plane, buy a vibrator, read an erotic novel in a public place et cetera.

description

She meets Camden on the plane.
The same Camden she witnessed getting blown by this Megan Fox lookalike last night - while Makayla was hiding under a table at a club!

And not only is he sitting next to her on the plane - and doing fun and sexy things with her on that flight, nope - he's also her new neighbor in Laguna Beach!!!!

Both Cam and Makayla have had their hearts broken by exes and as we all know, the best way to get over someone is to get under someone new!

description

Friends with benefits - here we come!
But can they both do that without feelings getting involved?

WHAT WiLL HAPPEN TO MAKAYLA & CAMDEN????
WiLL THERE BE A HEA FOR THEM IN CALIFORNIA?

I'm not telling you that of course...

Every time a new Kim Karr book arrives on my kindle, I'm totally excited.
You never know where the story will take you, you just know that it will most likely be amazing!

And Cam & Makayla... totally adorable!
They're so cute and funny and sexy and broken and ugh, I just loved them and I wanted them to get to their HEA asap!!!

description

I loved the location and the whole atmosphere of Southern California!

description

Great story!
Funny, adorable, and very sexy!!!!!
Lots of staring-at-our-hottie-lifeguard-Cam moments!!!

description

Of course it's not all sunny-happy-happy-sexy. Both have lots of baggage. But the reader has a great time watching them fight for their Happy!

NO PANTS REQUIRED was a very sexy & adorable love story about two lost & broken darlings who might have finally found their place in life and love! Run to your nearest amazon and start reading!!!

What I was a bit confused by... we meet lots of people in this book. Not really supporting characters, but strangers. People with a first and a last name and they're all introduced to us with both names and family connections and a bit of their life story and I had the feeling that I missed some of Kim's books and all their stories had already been told? Or maybe they'll be in future books? No idea, but all those people were a tiny bit too much for my bookalzheimer-head to keep up with. I didn't really know why they had to be introduced the way they were :/

Oh, another thing.....I think the blurb is a bit too long? I like a good blurb and I always read them before starting a story, but this one was way too long, I think some people might stop being interested in the book during that long read☺ But that could be just me being weird. ☺

No Pants Required is a stand-alone romantic comedy with a whole lot of surf, sun, and swoon!!!

This is the first book I have written where the angst is light and there is no suspense, mystery, murder, or crime. Oh, and there is no cliffhanger either :)

I just wanted to write a fun, flirty, and sexy easy summer read.

I hope you enjoy it!!

And tell me what you think of the book Cam and Makayla read together. That part was so much fun!!

2.5 *Yawn*

Ok, maybe I'm just bored, but this book was yawn-worthy...

It wasn't bad or anything like that, it was just 'meh' and boring. The characters were flat and, yeah, the story was predictable (all romance stories are (or at least99% of them)), but I wanted a bit of chemistry, or something, anything, to keep me interested.

But nope. That didn't happen. I was so bored, I don't even remember what happened in most of the book.

Anyway, I dunno if it's worth reading. There are better books out there. It's not awful, so if you have it handy, maybe give it a try, but if not, well... Meh

After her engagement ended in heartbreak, Mikayla is leaving New York for Los Angeles to reinvent her life. Prior to leaving, she gets front seat view of Camden Waters getting head from a girl, which made things super awkward when both Camden and Mikayla shared a seat during their flight from New York to Los Angeles. This encounter sets off a series of coincidences that brought Camden and Mikayla together.

While it didn't really wow me, No Pants Required was still a fun read. That airplane scene was hilarious. I'm so glad Kim Karr decided to write that scene and made it refreshing by having her two main characters fail miserably at their attempt to join the mile high club.

Another thing I really enjoyed was the story within the story that we got. Basically, we got a glimpse of what Mikayla was reading in the book. I wonder if that book really existed or if Kim Karr wrote it just for this book because that would be so meta.

Overall, I enjoyed it but it didn't really move me emotionally in any way. The plot was okay. You could say it's predictable, which wasn't an issue for me. The main reason why I wasn't so enthused about this book was that I really didn't feel any connection with either Mikayla and Camden. I like them together but there was an emotional disconnect for me with their characters.

Still, this book was fun and hot. I would definitely give this a chance if you're in a mood for something short, sexy, and meta.

I needed some light fun read and took this book but it was far from being fun for me.

The plot-line was mostly around a stupid list that the heroine tried to complete to prove to herself that she is not uptight as her ex accused her of and anyone who tries to prove something to herself with a list like that is a complete idiot for me so I couldn't relate to the characters at all...

And we have to read the erotic romance book the couple read all along the novel - and it was yikes! I don't know why they read it aloud to themselves all the time but it bore me to death and I actually couldn't read that weird menage story that is supposed to be hot or what, it was so not for my taste with the dom/sub thing. However, it worked for them as each time they read it aloud, they got hot and horny and you know what they did...

Ohhh... you know what, I do not want to waste any more of my time writing a review about this after wasting my time reading it. This book was so not for me...

The list she is trying to complete:
1. Wear a bikini (out in public)
2. Have sex with someone you don’t know
3. Fuck on the beach
4. Join the Mile High Club
5. Get drunk and let someone else worry how you’re going to get home
6. Give a guy the best blow job of his life and make sure he knows it
7. Get a vibrator (and use it)
8. Don’t plan your day for the next thirty days
9. Take a nude selfie (and look at it whenever you doubt yourself)
10. Read an erotic romance novel in public

Kim Karr dishes up a wonderful balance of humor and steam in this fun romantic comedy.

Cam and Makayla are each on a quest to re-discover themselves as they start new lives in Laguna Beach, California. Determined to shed her uptight image, Makayla sets out to complete every item on her free-spirit check list—most of which happen to be sexual in nature. When she meets Cam on a cross-country flight it’s the perfect opportunity to cross “Join the Mile High Club” off her list. Unfortunately, things don’t go as smoothly as planned. It’s just the start of their crazy journey towards falling in love.

The majority of the book is quite entertaining, but I began to lose interest in the last quarter. There are too many missed opportunities to develop the story more. Cam’s rocky relationship with his dad is under-explored. Makayla’s to-do list is frankly rather tame and too quickly accomplished. Everything is just too smooth and easy, including Makayla’s new career and her affair with Cam.

I did enjoy the flirty chemistry between Cam and Makayla, and both characters are charming. My favorite parts are their naughty little book club exchanges. Kim Karr even includes a picture of the cover for the make-believe erotica novel they read.

No Pants Required may be light on substance, but it’s sexy and amusing. It’s perfect for a quick beach read. This is the first book I’ve read by Kim Karr, but it won’t be my last.

Ummm… no idea what to say about this book.

Well, what to say about it first.

So much happening. So much to say. Gah.

OK firstly, if it is winter wherever you are, maybe don’t read this because this book will definitely make you wish you were on the beach with an ice cold beer to your left and a sweaty lifeguard to your right.

Then again, maybe don’t read this book out in public for all the sympathetic blushing and cringing you’ll do for Makayla’s sake during her first meeting with Cam. Or the second meeting. Or the third meeting.

Maybe don’t read this book if you don’t have air-condition because it will have your face (and other parts) flush for a different reason altogether. The amount of sexual tension flying around in this book is nothing short of toe-curlingly intense.

Also don’t read this book if you don’t want to attract suspicious glances from strangers because you will either be smiling like a fool or laughing out loud at the antics of Cam and his penchant for sexual innuendo. Or at the antics of Makayla’s and Cam’s friends. Or the banter between them. Or Summer’s Menage.

If you don’t have a few hours to set aside you should probably not even start this book. It is an unbelievably easy read to get lost in and so fast-paced that you won’t even notice the time slipping away from you.

Though, read it if you’ve ever wondered about that sexy lifeguard on the beach. Read it if you’ve ever fantasized about giving it all up to go start a new life on the beach. Read it if you’re the awkward girl. Read it if you like music.

But definitely read this book if you like your romance sweet and funny and low on angst. Read it if you like your sexy times playful and steamy. Read it if you want to get lost in a cute coming of age story with plenty of smiles and laughter.

This is exactly the kind of book that you want to read in the summer. Or in the winter, to trick yourself into picturing the oceans tide, feeling the sun on your skin and smelling the ocean breeze. Seriously, everything about this screams 'perfect summer read'. It's light and refreshing, with little (I'd say no angst, but my tolerance levels are higher than some) angst, sexy, charming and guarantees that you'll be laughing out loud. Set in the oceanside city of Laguna Beach, you'll want to grab your surfboard and dive on in.

No Pants Required starts of with a bang (*snickers*) so be prepared to fall into the world of Cam and Makayla immediately. Only a few pages in, I needed more. I wanted to know their stories, why did this character act such a way, why did the other have the thoughts they did, etc. By the time the first encounter rolled around, I was already sold. Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours.

I really enjoyed the dynamic that Cam and Makayla had together, the push and the pull, the banter and teasing. Both bring out the best in the other, and this couple is the perfect example of chemistry leaping off the page.

My favourite thing about this story has to be the humour, hands down. Camden is such a cheeky little bugger and I love how he brings Makayla out of her shell, gets her laughing and helps her to not take everything so seriously. He is too stinking cute, and it's perfect how Makayla dishes it back out to him. Keeps everyone on their toes and the reader guessing what these two will do or say next.

“‘Fact is, the law says you cannot touch.’”
“Oh, my God, you do watch dancing movies. You watched Magic Mike.”
I slap her ass. “Twice. Get your dollar bills ready, baby—you’re going to need them.”

I liked Makayla a lot as a character. I seemed to really connect with her and could understand all of her fears, the need for a change and the journey of self discovery. She seemed like such a sweetheart with her head screwed on straight, so of course I loved that Cam could not only be there for the laughs, but he had a softer side for her as well. No Pants Required is definitely heavy on laughs, but has a nice dose of the feels as well.

Something strange is happening between us. I can’t stop touching her, no matter where we are. I’d almost forgotten what it was like to feel this way. Happy.
“You’re smiling.” Makayla looks at me from beneath hooded eyes. “Want to let me in on it?”
“A Yankees doubleheader, March Madness, overtime during the Frozen Four hockey finals, the Jets winning the Super Bowl.”
“Huh?”
“Things that make me happy.” I grin as she ponders my crazy-ass comment and clash my mouth to hers. “You,” I add.

“Say, ‘Camden Waters is a sex god.’”

Camden Waters is a sex God. Holy Hannah, this book is smoking hot! Hot with a capital H. Muy caliente. Me gusta. You'll definitely need a dip in the pool to cool off from this one, I'm fanning myself now just thinking about it! I can't explain it any more than this, these two (plus some of the scenes in the book they read together are absolutely scorching! Wowza, is there a fireman around?) burn up the pages like no other.

Kim captures your attention immediately; I mean really, who doesn't love a good karaoke sesh? Then, she uses fun little twists to truly elevate this story and make it her own. The two main characters bonded over and read an erotic novel called Summer's Ménage. How fun is that? And if you didn't believe me before about this book being hot hot hot, this is your last warning.

Finishing this book is like coffee on a busy morning, leaving work early on a Friday, getting that last cookie that you've been dreaming about all day - it instantly puts you in a good mood. Flipping the last page, I had a smile on my face and warm fuzzies all through my body. This is exactly what I wanted from No Pants Required. Silly, energetic, unpredictable, and I'll be sure to tell you this: Kim Karr delivers on all fronts.

You don’t love someone and set him free to see if he comes back to you.
You hold on tight and never let go.

I’ve seen lots of reviews for this book claiming it was the perfect beach read. Even though I was not under the warm rays of the sun enjoying the beach, I definitely felt the heat while reading this one. It was a great sexy introduction to Kim Karr for me.

Makayla is leaving New York City to move in with her best friend who lives in Laguna Beach, California. She’s just gone through a bad breakup with her fiancé. What better place to start over and find yourself than on the sunny beaches of California?

"New start.
New life.
New me.
California, here I come."

Seated next to the sexy Cam Waters on the flight, Makayla finds herself in a few interesting situations and on a flight she won't soon forget. Her friend has given her a list to help her loosen up and on this list is to join the ‘Mile High Club.’ Seeing as how there is obvious chemistry between them, Makayla thinks ‘why not’ since she is sure she won’t see him again.

It turns out that Cam is a lifeguard who works with and lives next door to Makayla’s best friend, Maggie. Makayla and Cam’s summer has just gotten interesting as they both explore the attraction between them.

"You don't love someone and set him free to see if he comes back to you. You hold on tight and never let go."

I loved the reading of the romance novel that they shared. What started out as an embarrassing situation for Makayla, soon became a book club partnership between them. The chemistry between these two was coming off the pages and made it easy to fall in love with both.

This was a great afternoon read. It is a funny, flirty, lighthearted read that can be enjoyed on or off the beach, but preferably near water, so that when it gets too steamy you can take a quick dip to cool off.

When you first start reading a book with a girl under a table watching someone get a blowjob, you can't help but have certain expectations of said book. It was even on the right track with the airplane and all, and I was ready to forgive a lot of eye-roll moments right up until the first actual sex scene. The whole time I was praying for both the main characters to shut up or at least say something not cringe worthy but alas it wasn't meant to be. With every sex scene it got worse and at some point I was praying one of them would use a ball gag on the other one or something. And that says a lot as I am not into that shit, like at all.

The only thing that kept me going was when the pair read smut together out loud. I could honestly say that that's something I would be more than excited to try with a guy. Because really, a couple that reads together - stays together. If they read the right literature, of course.

I wouldn't mind being in a book club with him. Wonder what he's reading...

5 I WANT TO LICK CAM’S POPSICLE STARS!!!

I’ve been known to fall hard and fast for book boyfriends. I think this might be a new record for me. Since I finished this book, I can’t stop thinking about Cam Waters. Hell. I can’t stop thinking about this story! I devoured this book in less than twenty four hours. I couldn’t put it down. I’m in LOVE. LOVE. LOVE with No Pants Required!

Speaking of devouring. Oh. God. I wanted to devour Camden Waters. The dirty talking life guard with a heart of gold. I fell in lust with him from the moment Makayla heard him moan. He’s so delicious I wanted to lick his popsicle! My weakness is a dirty talker and holy hell can this guy dirty talk. I was completely turned on by everything he said. By everything he DID. Oh. God. Yes. He’s gorgeous, he’s hilarious and he’s sinfully delicious. But he’s a sweet guy too! What more could you want in a book boyfriend? And I fell in love with Makayla! I wanted to be her BFF! I could totally see myself hanging out with her. She had me laughing constantly! I just loved these two together!

The hotter than hell moments between Cam and Makayla had me wanting to jump into the ocean to cool myself off. I felt like I was surfing a constant tidal wave. OF PLEASURE. *MOANS* And then I pictured myself in that water, suddenly unable to swim because...HELLO hot life guard on duty! I would sink to the bottom of the ocean, just so he could save me. I mean, this is real life right? You see, that’s the thing about Kim Karr’s writing. The mesmerizing story she creates makes you feel like you are living all of these amazing moments with the characters. And boy, did I want to live in the moments with these two! Whew.

No Pants Required is a super sexy, super funny and super addicting romantic comedy. I laughed out loud so many times throughout this entire book. I may have moaned out loud a few times as well. Ok, A LOT. Not gonna lie. But, seriously, I just completely adored this love story. From start to finish, I was captivated. Not only did I laugh, I got the major feels as well. This book is everything you want in a summer read! It’s super fresh and fun!

No Pants Required by Kim Karr is the perfect summer read!!! Before you begin this book, make sure you have a refreshing cocktail in hand and maybe a small electric fan because this book is off the charts sexy and steamy!! Temperatures will rise so might as well take off those pants. Haha. But in all seriousness, Kim Karr delivers a hot steamy romance about finding yourself, letting loose, having fun and maybe some summer lovin'!! And when you have a sexy dirty talking hero in the mix, of course No Pants Required.

photo 588f0dda15319ea5c259d63c487e7d_zpsmozorcgv.gif “For what I have in mind, there are no pants required. ”

Makayla Alexander is off to California to let loose and find herself. She is ready for a fresh new start. And so when she meets Camden Waters, things begins to heats up with them. Why not? Two strangers who are both looking for some fun and sunshine. And so begins one hot, sexy, steamy and SIZZLING romance between Camden and Makayla. And I mean lots of steamy moments that will have you blushing and fanning oneself. So does their summer hookup have an expiration date?

Yes, this book is HOT!! Okay, smoking hot!! While there are lots of heavy steamy scenes, Kim Karr still incorporates an emotional story line allowing readers to see that both Camden and Makayla are both flawed individuals who are in search of finding themselves. Finding what makes them happy. And so maybe a dirty-talking hero and an reserved New Yorker can have the summer of a lifetime and a love that doesn’t set.

Makayla Alexander is leaving New York for Laguna Beach, California to start a new life. Her best friend Maggie not only gives her a place to stay and inspiration, but a list of ten things to jump start it.

Cam Waters has had a few recent set backs. He is glad to be out of the stuffiness of New York and family drama, and back to California. Cam is angry and bitter over painful events in his life and is now coasting as a life guard in Cali. He's charming, funny, flirty, and sexy.

Makayla has been pushed to believe she is uptight and boring. She is a Type A personality, organized, and focused. She's trying to start fresh, find herself, and some adventure. She's a good girl trying to be a little bad and finding her sassy side.

An interesting first observation, a plane ride, and a surprising California connection keep bringing them back together. They flirt, spar, share misadventures and mortification, and have some serious sexual tension between them. They have good chemistry, but also a bit of awkwardness and tendency to get into challenging situations. They are two people trying to find themselves and get their lives together, so they need to proceed with caution. They find each other when least expected, but are not quite sure what to do about it.

I enjoyed their push and pull, confusion, attraction, vulnerability, and missteps. They were both hot messes, lost, and afraid to bringing someone else into their drama. But they had scorching hot chemistry, were compatible, and had a flirty, witty, rapport.

They allow each other to be free, fun, and be themselves. Makayla begins to reinvent herself and starts finding her way. But Cam also has some issues to work out on his own and to figure out where his life is going.

Sometimes there are obstacles you don't even realize are there and past insecurities can cloud your vision. Can Cam and Makayla get it together and both manage to chase their dreams while holding onto each other?

I enjoyed the relaxed Lauguna Beach, Cali vibe in contrast to the intensity of New York. The side characters especially her bestie Maggie and his room mate Brooklyn were interesting and fun. I also liked Cam's sister, Amelia. I have already put some couples together in my mind and look forward to more in this series.

I loved that this book was light, funny, sexy, and romantic with just enough emotional edge. I was happy to get both points of view and I got sucked in really easily. The characters were likable, but had flaws and depth. They were a bit awkward and confused, but also fun and feisty. Their banter was infectious and their chemistry was intense. It was fairly low on angst, but had enough drama and complications in their back stories to make it interesting. This was quirky, engaging, humorous start to a new series. I can't wait for Brooklyn! I have already fallen for this half-funny, half-serious reality show has-been and aspiring writer.

What would make a better beach read than a book set in California, complete with an adorable, dirty-talking lifeguard? No Pants Required hits the spot with its light-hearted humor that’s also heavy on the heat, making it the perfect companion for summer holidays.

After the one-two punch of losing his brother and having a horrible falling out with his father, Camden Waters is drifting through life. He has moved to California to become a lifeguard instead of using his degree to go into the family business. While in New York to attend a memorial service, he unwittingly meets Makayla at a bar.

Makayla is also making changes to her life after being unceremoniously dumped by her fiancé. She quits her job, decides to move to California to live with her best friend, and focuses on reinventing herself—or at least rediscovering who she used to be. While on the flight to California, things heat up between seatmates Makayla and Cam, leading to shenanigans at 35,000 feet. Let’s just say, it doesn’t end well.

I loved the chemistry between Makayla and Cam. They get hot and heavy quickly, while still trying to figure out where their lives are heading. Cam is a complete flirt and a total dirty-talking lover. However, there is a real tenderness between them that I wasn’t expecting, but was a pleasant surprise. Seeing them navigate through the uncertainties was both frustrating and ultimately, heartwarming.

There were a couple of points in the story where it felt like it had ‘multiple personalities’ and didn’t know exactly what it wanted to be. Also, a few of the plot points could have been more developed, especially where Cam and Makayla’s family were concerned. I loved the last quarter of the book, though, and that’s where I connected most with the characters.

Overall, it was a fun and hot read with quirky characters, funny supporting cast, and a sweet story. For my first book by Kim Karr, I’d say that I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Makayla is looking for a fresh start and is moving to California to live with her best friend Maggie. She is ready for change and is armed with a list of experiences she wants to cross off. In fact, she manages to cross a couple off on her flight there. The gorgeous guy sitting beside and a few glasses of wine give her some long hidden courage.

'With my eyes closed once again, I press my forehead against the mirrror. This is it - I'm about to fuck a stranger. I'm about to join the Mile High Club. And I love every minute of it.' - Makayla

Needless to say she enjoyed her flight and takes comfort in the fact that she will never this guy again. Therefore, she is shocked to discover that the guy she met on the plane is her new next door neighbour. Her plan to kiss and forget the mystery man has been blown apart by this revelation so she decides to suck it up and just roll with it. It is summer and she is at the beach, she intends to have some fun.

Camden can't believe his eyes when he realises that the girl who he connected with on that flight home is in fact Maggie's best friend. There is no way he isn't going to try and finish what they started on that flight.

'So here's how this is going to go. First, I'm going to taste your sweet pussy and eat you like you are my last meal, and then I'm going to fuck you like you've never been fucked.' - Camden

There is just something there between that neither of them can deny. An insanely intense chemistry that they seem to be helpless to resist. And why would they anyway, they are young and gorgeous, why not fuck each other's brain's out. Besides, what's wrong with a harmless 'friends with benefits' summer fling?

Here's the thing with a little fling. Feelings always manage to worm their way in and before long deep emotions seep in between those ruffled up bed sheets. Makayla has had relationship issues in the past and she seems to be projecting them onto Camden, who is nothing like any other guy she has dated before. In fact, Camden is the sweetest guy, sure he has some personal issues that he needs to work through and probably isn't that great at communicating that with her but I couldn't help but feel she was just self sabotaging because she didn't think she was worthy of such a great guy.

Anyhoo, here is one of the most important facts about this story, there is lots of fabulous, delicious, dirty, hot, magnificent sex. This couple really know how to make a reader get all hot and flustered!
This is a big call from me but I have been in love with River ever since I first read Connected, three years ago and Camden really made me question my loyalty to River so that says a lot about Camden and his hotness level! A really fun read, great to enjoy on your summer break!

LOVED it! I connected with the heroine, Makayla, on SO MANY LEVELS! And the hero, Cam, a SEXY lifeguard with a knack for business with demons at every turn....was just scrumptious! Funny, steamy, with just the right amount of angst, makes NO PANTS REQUIRED a yummy summer read!

"So here's how this is going to go. First, I'm going to taste your sweet pussy and eat you like you are my last meal, and then I'm going to fuck you like you've never been fucked."

And that, my friends, is our hero, Camden Waters. Oh ladies there is so much more where that came from. You will fall hard for the gorgeous lifeguard with relationship issues. This is sexy summer read that is all about finding one's self. Makayla wants more, and she needs out of New York stat. Armed with an erotic novel and a list of self-discovery TO DO's from her best friend in California, Makayla begins her journey onboard a plan to Laguna Beach. This is where fate intervenes and screws everything up!

She starts to get friendly and lets loose a bit with her sexy seat mate on the airplane. Sparks fly and Makayla seizes an opportunity to check off an item on her list. Meeting up with the gorgeous stranger in the plane's lavatory was supposed to be sexy, but fate had other plans. Needless to say, joining the Mile High Club was going to have to happen some other time. It didn't matter much to Makayla, because she was never going to see her seat mate again, right? Oh but fate...she really is a BITCH! When she discovers the true identity of the stranger...she finds out that he is none other than her next door neighbor. Oh and it just gets GOOD from there my friends.

Two people who were SO not meant to be...ended up being SO much more...

"You don't love someone and set him free to see if he comes back to you. You hold on tight and never let go."

Kim Karr's steamy new standalone is sure to please all of your senses. HOT sex...DIRTY talk...and more awkward moments that will make you laugh out loud...NO PANTS REQUIRED is a scorching romance, mixed with the perfect amount of funny and sweet. There was no wiping the smile off of my face.

I found the PERFECT summer beach/pool read. This is it. It has all the elements of a great summer romance read: it's both lighthearted but has enough of an emotional weight to not make it silly, its hilarious enough to make me laugh out loud, and it is sizzling and also pure romance at it's finest.

Makayla Alexander, after a devastating heartbreak, has made a life-changing decision to up-root her life and all of her hard work to move to the west coast to live with her best friend. She has a plan to try to make a business out of her jewelry. Camden Waters is stuck is a state of limbo after a series of tragedies and heartbreaks of his own. Currently, he is working as a lifeguard in California. He is leaving New York after visiting family. And Makayla and Cam meet serendipitously on the plane.

I'm going to be honest and let you know that I had a hard time getting INTO the story. There is a bit of back story with each character before we get into the nitty gritty. However, come on. It's Kim Karr. I knew it was going to be good. Once you hit about 20%, it picks up in a MAJOR way. It is hilarious, witty, and so sexy. Cam Waters is everything you want in a book boyfriend. He has flaws, but his character is deep.

What I enjoyed most about this book was the banter between Makayla and Cam. It was never ending and it never failed to make me smile. AND it started from moment one, leaving Makayla nearly speechless.

Overall, I would give this book 4.5 stars. The slow start has me knocking off a little. However, this book is such a find! It could be that I love romantic comedies so much, and that is true, but I loved this book!

This story was cute, funny, frisky and sexy.

Cam was adorable!
I enjoyed all the sexual innuendo and banter between the two.

To be honest, I was expecting a little bit of a Baywatch thing, but that's not what I got. In fact, there wasn't necessarily too much about Cam being a lifeguard. Maybe a couple of scenes, but as far as the overall feel of the book, that's not what it was about.

This was an awakening of sorts. Discovering who you are and what you want out of life, while living it! Go for it! Be flirty, be silly. Check off that bucket list and experience all life has to offer!
Did that sound heavy? It's not. In fact it's a very light and easy going read.

If you're looking for a funny and sexy beach read... you've found your book!

You already know that the cover made me do it.
And with how much I loved the following two books of the series, I thought for sure I would love this one too.

I didn't.

I didn't like the heroine, Makayla. She really tried my patience.
And with the sexual scene in the beginning between Cam and Vanessa (which Makayla made sure to witness), I couldn't find the romance in this book. I didn't feel the chemistry at all.

And I was bored.

I love the sight of a new Kim Karr book on my kindle in the morning!

And seriously, how lickable is that cover??

I wasn't really sure what to expect with No Pants Requried - other than knowing that it was a Kim book and I have loved everything to so far.

Makayla and Camden's story was just a wonderful, smart, sexy and funny story.

From an "almost Mile High Club" moment to lists to the last word, I just adored our lovelies. They are both a little bit... maybe not broken, but definitely a bit fractured. They have enough baggage to fill a bus but you just want them to get through it all.

There were plenty of "look at the sexy half naked lifeguard moments - or maybe there wasn't huge numbers of them, but I imagined a lot more than there was!!

There were some great secondary characters - Makayla's best friend and Cam's roommates were great. But there were a couple of characters that I kind of thought we didn't need to know about, that Makayla and Cam could have gotten where they were without them? But this might just be me.

I know this is a standalone, but I would love to get more of the best friend and room mate story, as I felt that Ms Karr was setting them up for more.

Please Ms Karr, I want some more!
