Mine came with directions but I did not use them. I just simply filled up my bottle, put the blender blades on top, closed it tightly, and set it on the base. You got to line up the arrows and slightly push down on it. It should blend. If that doesn't work, try turning it clockwise a centimeter or two, then push down. If that doesn't work, then you probably have a faulty motor.

No, there were no directions on the Hamilton Beach website...that was the first place I looked. Not sure who wrote that answer. I finally got it working, though...I had to wiggle the cord on the bottom a bit and then plug it in again, which makes me a bit nervous, but we'll see. Seems to be working fine now, though. Thanks for the helpful input, Seppers. :)

It's not hard to assemble, just flip the blade one side or the other, or insert the one in the middle - and it can only work with one blade or the other - never two at a time.

But the one thing, and I think, most important one, is never to put your hand in the chute. Always use the part that comes with the appliance or a spatula.

By now you've probably had answers. I have the instructions; very basic & simple. I'm almost sure you can find them on the internet -- just google "Hamilton Beach Food Processor" and some model info.

Mine came with directions,make sure the bowl and lid are snaped into the lock. the lid has to be on for it to run

It has a pulse button and a chopper blade so I would think it would. Just watch how many times you pulse or it might puree. I tried that with salsa and it got pretty smooth, even though I wanted it chunkier.

fine shredding is the only shredding option with this machine, so you are in luck!

I tried it but the blade it comes with mushes everything and doesn't make sharp cuts. soggy messy coleslaw.

That is what I used it for. My brother had false teeth and it was much easier for him to eat than the store bought slaw because it was much finer.

I make cole slaw in a second with the pulse setting. If you hold it on pulse too long it becomes over processed. Take your time and practice with it using the bottom blade and it will come out perfect. I believe that this is a great buy. It is simple, easy and fast. Even the clean up is easy.

I was wondering if it would make Fine cole slaw? I dont like big shredded cole slaw...

for the following: grinding grain, coffee beans, or spices; slicing frozen meats; kneading dough; or crushing ice.

It comes with the chopping blade and the grater/slicer disc. It does not come with a dough blade. I use the chopping blade to make pie dough but I do not know if it works for pizza dough. If I were to guess I would say NO.

No this model cannot be used for dough making.

I know it might seem like a bit of extra stuff, but I would use a good heavy duty mixer, prferably a good stand mixer, to mix dough, as some dough mixing, can require some kneeding, too. I like the hamilton beach, or for every day dough mixing, it may be worth the price for a Kitchen aide mixer.

I am totally in love with my new food processor!  My old one worked just fine but it was a lot older and a lot smaller so, on a whim, I ordered this.  It is fantastic!  I can't believe how much faster it is than my old one and cleanup is a breeze.  It even has little suction feet that keep it in place on my counter - not a necessity but certainly a nice added feature!  I highly recommend it.

Mighty Powerhouse!
