“Our stories don't die - unless we don't share them” - Christoph Trappe
At Blog Now, Live Forever event, conceptualized and hosted by IndiBlogger
31st Oct - 1st Nov, Mumbai
______________
What is BNLF?
The "Blog Now, Live Forever" is an event, which is carefully constructed from the ground-up to give you a front seat to amazing insights into the world of blogging!
______________

Christoph Trappe - IMA Marketer of the Year - 2015, is a career storyteller who has worked as a journalist, a

nonprofit executive, and a content marketing strategist and consultant. His digital initiatives have been recognized globally. He is currently helping hospitals across the United States share their authentic stories. The Content Marketing Institute acknowledged him as a 2014 and 2015 Top 100 Most Influential Content Marketer. Among other awards, he was also named a most influential content marketer on Twitter by London-based Axonn Media.

And he comes to Blog Now Live Forever Event at Mumbai as Key Note speaker on “Authentic story telling for bloggers and businesses” on 31st Oct and a well thought out workshop on “Six steps to stop traditional marketing and start authentic blogging”. This half-day session on 1st November offers and walks you through practice steps that can be implemented to get your authentic storytelling - whether it’s for your organization or your personal brand - going.

Before reaching out to him in order to write this post, I did some online research and came across his post on “How I decide which interview requests to grant!” where he writes, “I don't ask who their audience is, or if they have 100,000 or 100 followers. I don't even ask them their opinion about authentic storytelling. It makes no difference. They want to talk about an important topic and so I'll talk with them. Period. Communication in the Participation Age. The only way to play is by playing.” and to tell you the truth my fellow blogger friends, he was one of the first few speakers to respond to me.

Everyone is an influencer to somebody. You, too.” - Christoph Trappe

Since he is also one of the top influencer on twitter, I could not resist him asking about the missing @ in retweets, which had been troubling me for sometime. Did you know that when some one retweets your tweet, the @ sign in front of your name is removed which makes it kind of, as he says, ‘spammy’.  He wonders why would anyone remove the @ sign? It is not community building, just a bad form.

On the topic of writing authentic stories or following the trending topics, he said, “I know it's hard for many bloggers and brands to be authentic. We are looking to be right, not to step on anyone's toes and be politically correct. We are all taught from early on to know the right answer. Sometimes that can lead to other actual answers to be disregarded. Authentic storytelling is about sharing our story. They can't all be positive, because when they are that's called marketing. Authentic stories are positive and negative.”

“By the way, chasing trending stories is quite OK, as long as we have something of value to add. Being unique counts.” - Christoph Trappe

His love: I love being relevant and offering value in something I am passionate about - authentic storytelling.

His Hope: I hope for innovation that aims to make a difference and goes beyond the transactional.

His Mantra for Authentic Story Telling: I try not to mistake politically incorrect with actually incorrect.

His idea about Indian Bloggers: Sounds like you guys have a great community going. Support and encouragement is important and can help us share authentic stories. Looking forward to seeing everyone on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1.

We look forward to seeing you too. Welcome to India and to IndiBloggers.
