The DD can't even report accurately. The bill is actually house bill 212, not 203! Why even bother reporting if you can't get the facts straight?
Why not concentrate on the semis that block the left lanes as they try to pass each other on hills or when they move into the left lanes of 6 lane highways. That would help tremendously.
I believe there are more important things for our legislators to worry about. Maybe they think we should go back to two lane roads. This will probably have no effect on road rage.
A lot of Alabama drivers re not courteous. They don't move over for ambulances, race to beat the red light and sometimes go through an already red light, they block service drives , they don't use turn signals, they cross two lanes in front of you to get where they are going and not planning ahead. they sit at green lights talkin or texting on their phones. they ignore no left turns signs on Wimberly Drive ont oSpring AVe., etc.
Section 32-5A-80
Driving on right side of roadway; exceptions.
(a) Upon all roadways of sufficient width a vehicle shall be driven upon the right half of the roadway, except as follows:
(1) When overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction under the rules governing such movement;
a few more exceptions are listed but Alabama Code above says drive on right side of roadway!!!!!
Its about stinkin Time!!!
