GREENVILLE, Pa. (Feb. 5) – The Ohio River Lacrosse Conference (ORLC) announced its 2016 women's lacrosse preseason poll on Wednesday. Waynesburg University was selected to finish eighth in the league after receiving 24 points from the conference coaches.
 
The Yellow Jackets finished 2015 in sixth place, with an overall mark of 5-9 and 3-6 in league play. Defending champion Saint Vincent was picked to win the ORLC for a second consecutive season. The Bearcats received a total of 78 points, including seven of nine first-place votes. Washington & Jefferson (66 points), Thiel (57 points), Transylvania (55 points) and Mount Saint Joseph (52 points) rounded out the top five. Waynesburg will begin its season on Wednesday, March 16, with a home game versus Muskingum. Start time from John F. Wiley Stadium is scheduled for 5 p.m.
